Being honest? I am sick to death of our back line changing constantly.

I wouldn't make any changes to that position unless they are enforced.
This. We’ve had some injuries but the team has been chopped and changed all the time even when injuries haven’t been the issue. I’m still baffled at the number of captains we’ve had, genuinely feels like kids football when theyre just handing it around to appease parents. Pick one stick with it.

Anyway they say never change a winning team, in our case don’t change a drawing team against Spurs.

I'd change it, more to hit their high line and counter their forward three:

Turner

Niakhate Felipe Murrilo

Williams Yates Mangala Toffolo

MGW

Elanga CHO

I could also be persuaded to start with Danilo instead of CHO in a boxed 4 man mid:

Turner

Niakhate Felipe Murrilo

Williams Yates Mangala Toffolo

MGW Dani

Elanga

If Elanga can work on his run timing he has plenty chance to break that high line...

Much prefer your second lineup GP. CHO hasn't convinced me yet, and that box midfield with Danilo is exactly the 4 that finished last season so well.

If Murillo is injured, then Boly should line up alongside Felipe and Niakhate.
In fact, I think I would prefer to see Boly, Murillo, Niakhate.
I can't see Steve rewarding the team that did so well for him yesterday by making any changes, unless they are forced on him.

I didn't think Kouyate was that good against Wolves. I rate him as a player, solid pro who was always decent and dependable last season (except that free kick).

But this season he's looked old, tired and a bit leggy, if you ask me. Like the years have caught him up.
He was lucky he didn't get sent off. Stupid caution for dissent, and the ref somehow missed a cautionable offence a bit later. But the ref missed 3/4 of the game, so it was what it was.

Wolves are the the only team in the Premier League who have had bad refereeing decisions go against them in every single half of every game they have played. Kouyate not being sent off to redress the adverse decision balance was a crying shame for any true wolves fan.
Elanga being unceremoniously barged to the ground when getting away from Craig Dawson was not called by the referee.*
However, the Old gold fans seem to think it was a fair call to ignore it, so that's alright then.

* Of course Elanga should not have had the ball at the point of the unfair barge, as he should have laid a perfect pass a yard in front of MGW, who was unmarked, and motoring on towards goal, with no defenders anywhere near him. The unnoticed foul on him was a lesson to him not to miss the obvious pass in future.

That 2nd line-up but with Boly instead of Felipe is the one 💪🏻

I'd be inclined to agree with Gyros Peter and push MGW up behind a top 2 of Elanga and either CHO or Wood (might work with him with a bit of decent service from Neco/Toff). I think long term that is what we should be aiming for, or a box midfield.

That said, I generally don't like him being in the 11 but Kouyate has a habit of being unplayable in one or two games a season when Coops is really under the cosh, and I think Spurs will find him a nightmare, so maybe safer and more logical to reward that 11 and stick with 3-5-2. With the option to bring on Danilo and revert to a box (which is the future for me, had enough of 4-3-3, it just doesn't suit the personnel we've got)

Maybe it's the emotion of the last 24 hours talking, but I'm going to call it; if Steve Cooper is still in charge on Friday, we are absolutely going to do these!

Yeah it’s no coincidence that we make a lot of defensive mistakes when you consider how many different configurations we’ve had, practically a new one every game.
Agreed. SC needs to commit to a formation and style and lineup. Forest cannot keep searching for the perfect

Spurs extremely high line and press is tailor made for the counter attack game we played last season. I really feel we can get a result here.
Watched a few of their games recently. If we sit deep and can keep funneling them to kuluevski on the right wing for him to continually cut back inside then we'll do ok.

Jonno will stay wide but is also severely lacking production ATM so just thump him early and don't dive in.

Agree. Stick with 5-3-2 as well. Ignore the “Cooper is too defensive” whiners.
5-3-2 doesn't have to be defensive. It's all about the approach and mentality that makes a system defensive or not.

I'd just keep basically the same team for this except I'd swap Kouyate out for Danilo.

The team selection is down to the head Coach. he knows who is training well, who is carrying an injury, and who gets on with the others no matter what. I will leave that to him.
The feverish atmosphere that we can create can win us this game. We supporters need to bring our best game, and the stadium people need to get the timing of MoK right. Against Everton is was embarrassing. A little earlier than usual please, and a lot louder.

I like both of those. I mentioned yesterday bringing CHO into the attack but hadn't considered Danilo, bit more energy, perhaps that's better than craft, at least to start the game.

Also don't mind the idea of an unchanged side.
