Style of play has been much better under Nuno, look at the shot statistics and XG difference between the two. The subs were very poor against Luton but there has been an improvement.

Nunos had 12 games getting 11 points with Cooper getting 7 points from his last 12.

For me Nunos biggest blunder was getting rid of Mangala and he also doesnt seem to be a fan of Niakhate, both of who would have said were 2 of our best players

I think it would look ridiculous to sack another manager with seven games left, or whatever it would be. I don't doubt Marinakis is questioning whether he made the right appointment, but deep down he knows it's his own fault for the way he's run us this season.

Yesterdays result pissed me off massively but let’s be honest if we hadn’t been f**ked over almost weekly by Var and bad officials since Nuno came in his record would be much better.

Calling for his head is insane - yes we need wins and need them fast but I have a lot of faith in Nuno being able to push us forward next year should we stay up.

I can’t see Luton getting more than 6 points which would put them on 28.

Aina is back after the international break and I bet we start looking more of a threat again, it’s quite obvious Aina/Tavares suit how Nuno wants us to play as we both won more games and scored more goals with them in the team.
I don’t think you have read the script. Despite playing at Afcon, and strangely been injured when returning to England, miraculously Aina will play 180mins for the international friendlies and then be injured for the rest of the season. Likewise I expect kouyate, Niakhate, Boly, Sangare, & Big T to all play for their countries and return injured

As much as I think Nuno hasn’t helped himself over the last few weeks, one thing you have to say is that yesterday was the first game in a long time that Nuno hasn’t had a controversial VAR/ ref decision go against him, and he got a draw away
Or, alternatively, he managed to throw away a priceless victory with negative, defensive tactical changes that we've proven time and time again this season we're not able to implement.

It wasn’t his tactics that specifically threw the victory away. What threw the victory away was multiple chances cleared off the line, multiple times Forest players getting into dangerous positions and not making the right decision, or not being composed enough, you can blame Nuno, but more so, you can blame the players for it only being a slender 1 goal lead, Nuno’s tactics gave the players multiple opportunities to make it 3-0 or 4-0, they didn’t take it.

My concern is that Nuno looks quite downbeat and a little bit sad; considering all the complications that went on behind the scenes with Marinakis and Cooper, it wouldn't surprise me if the relationship between owner and manager has already soured. I really want it to work for Nuno, but considering he was meant to be taking us to the next level, I can see the owner getting frustrated and making a snap decision, even though it would be silly to sack him.

I disagree. He prematurely curtailed our attacking threat. Instead of swapping out our centre forward with a like for like change, he replaced him with a midfielder. He withdrew MGW and changed the shape to five at the back, rather than putting on Reyna. Then inexplicably decided to try to sit back and hold the lead, as we know we're so accomplished at doing. The result was Luton scored. We're not a prolific or free scoring side, so to blame these players isn't completely fair. They've showed that they're just not that great at scoring frequently. Nuno was responsible for the negative substitutions and tactics that we can all see led to us once again squandering points.

I read a lot about not bringing on Reyna and/or Riberio yesterday - that he didn't just indicates they aren't ready surely.

In Reynas case that might be fitness wise, but with Riberio it's age/experience surely. Strange signing that will only make sense if we exercise the option.

Thought Reyna looked decent v Newcastle, but he's been injured ever since and seems to have a habit of that.

Fair enough, but then why have them on the bench? We were more or less in control of the second half yesterday. The system didn't need a wholesale change. Give those two a run out and show what they're capable of without altering the overall structure that had been working well.

In the little I've seen of Reyna there's been enough to know there's a player there. Riberio obviously isn't considered good enough (yet - he's 18), otherwise we wouldn't be starting Elanga centrally. So run out wise, while I don't disagree with you in principle, in practice ones probably not fit enough and the other not good enough.

Yet everyone blamed Cooper for his subs when we were 2-0 at home. Despite Wood having enough chances to put us 6-0 up.

If Cooper was at fault for his subs at 2-0 then Nuno is extra at fault for doing the same thing at 1-0

If there's a player there and he's fit enough, then give him the back end of games

If there's not or he' not fit enough to cope with that small amount of time, then don't have him on the bench.

But having a player on the bench you don't intend to use in our biggest game of the season is just dumb IMO.

The FFP charge a couple of weeks after he joined has completely derailed the season. I'm withholding judgement of Nuno until next season because of that; he just has to keep us up in the meantime.

I see it as probably just a case of use him if we absolutely have to, half fit he'd still be a better option than one of the u21s.

I reckon we stay up by the skin of our teeth,
Get rid of a load of deadwood in summer
Finish top half next year

I have no strong feeling on wether we keep him of sack him however there must be a good manager in there

I’m sorry, how can we not blame the players, yet we can lay all the blame on Nuno? So was the early part of the season all Coopers fault?

I’m not saying he is blameless, what I’m saying is his tactics put the Forest players in multiple dangerous positions and made us dominate most of the game, which the players could only score 1 goal, against a team in Luton who have scored at least 1 goal in their last 17 games. The players have got to do better and should have scored more.

I doubt Nuno had much to do with Mangala leaving to be honest.
