Can I ask what outlook are self harmers( I do not even know what this means) meant to change? If it is about Billy Davies then he was a failure( definition of failure he did not get us promoted)and divided the fan base in his second term. The last successful manager before Coops was Calderwood. If it is about Coops then I am you will find 99.99% of supporters loved him and are devastated that his reign ended. Again I am pretty certain that 99.99% of posters do not need reminding of his contribution to our great club. Maybe he will make a return as he alluded to in his final statement and all of us would welcome him back.
in the meantime and as I and my family/friends have always done is to throw our wholehearted support behind the club and the manager, incessant sniping does nothing to lift the morale of the fan base. I fully realise that the season cards and PSR situation are negatives, but there is nothing I can do about that. What we can do is generate the atmosphere at the WFCG and away that can secure us the points we need, while I have not fallen in love with the PL we are now a member of I would rather stay in and let our maverick owner try and make some changes to what is a broken business model.
I cannot influence the club on this forum but I am probably boring MM and TC to death with daily emails regarding season tickets and other issues, it is not difficult to work out their email addresses and I am adding Bell to my list this week. I would be fairly certain that no posts on this forum benefit the club but maybe a concerted number of emails clogging up their inbox might?

Davies MK2 didn't divide the fanbase did he? I would say 99.99% hated him and wanted him gone!!! A 'self harming' majority, you might say......

If at the time of Davies sacking, you were told it would take another 9 managers, 8 years (including a last day relegation scrap) and mostly utter dross during that time, before we dared trouble the Play Offs again, would you have still sacked him?

Anyway, there is nothing you or I can say about Davies that hasn't already been done on this forum ad infinitum.

My point was more regarding the 0.01% (although I suspect the % was slightly higher) of self-harmers in relation to Cooper.

Obviously, I don't expect anything said on this forum either directly damages or benefits the club either way.
But if just one self-harmer can see the light as a result of reading comments on this forum, then that's potentially one less dickhead spreading negativity on Twitter etc - small margins but a benefit to the club all the same!!!

Of course, I agree with you re doing what we can to generate an atmosphere at the CG to help the club secure the points needed.

He needs to start reading the room a bit. The constant demands for fans to play their part is grating on a lot of folk, especially after the price hikes...

As predicted, fans backing a manager over the club.

It's not unreasonable for Nuno to ask for support. But hey, to some anything Nuno asks for will be too much.

By all means, show your displeasure at EM but don't let it detract from your support for the team. Owners and managers come and go, the club will always be there.

The club will be there definitely, just might not be where we want them to be. It's tiresome hearing the same refrain, ' we will work hard, we need the fans to back us', hard work is the very basic requirement of the players and staff, the fan's backing has been pretty good. Not as good as when Cooper was in charge, but let's not get into that.
I really want to support Nuno, he seems like a decent bloke and all that, but I don't think he's doing a good job with us.

My MP seems a decent bloke, but the organisation he works for just hasn't got a clue.

Right bloke, wrong job. Perhaps.

The fans will be what the fans will be. The club or manager cannot ask for unconditional and loud support if the results aren't happening and the culture at the club is dreadful.

Today's pretty much a write off but we can save our season by beating the bottom club who've conceded more goals per game than any club at this level ever and follow that up with a draw with the second worst club in the league who also like to ship a few.

It's not a big ask, the fans aren't the deciding factor here. Forest just need to play a 7/10 game for two games and we'll almost certainly be safe.

So people who self harm are dickheads ? Am I reading that right or are the self harmer and the dickhead on twitter 2 different people?

Saw the best and worst of him today. Big kudos for his general approach to the game, but his slowness in reacting to Murillo's limpness cost us too. Always felt like we were in with a chance until that moment.

Big test for him now. Needs to get our players up for the games against these last 3 teams like he did today against City.

Since Frank Clark:

1. Steve Cooper
2. Harry Bassett
3. Billy Davies

Third best since Clark imo.
I don't disagree. But I wasn't only thinking in terms of results: O'Driscoll might have gone on to be great, if he hadn't been shafted and the Hobbit hadn't had a 'mare (I forget the game); Sabri brought back the love, even if it didn't end well. And, for all his faults, Calderwood did get us back into the Championship.

Edit: As usual, I'm a bit pissed and had, somehow, managed to forget all about Dave Bassett! :ROFLMAO:

Calderwood? He actually achieved something unlike Davies who's own ego and stubbornness got in the way of managing the team.

Anyway, ranking our best managers since Clark is like ranking different types of disease.

I am not using today as the yardstick for this statement but more generally the whole season. I think in the end Cooper's sacking had a reason even though I am sad about it. I was against it mainly because I didnt trust the board to make a better choice and I was right about that.

I am so frustrated with the lack of improvement with how we play firstly under Cooper and now under Nuno. I read somewhere apparentlly Syrianos recommended Glasner to us but we opted for Nuno. Long term we have to play more football. Yes today is a one off I dont mind that obviously but if Fulham and Bournemouth can do it than so can bloody Forest. Also to be sitting deep at home against Burnley and Sheff U its a disgrace really.

Whether we stay up or not I want Nuno sacked and a manager to come in to be a little more forward thinking. If we want to be premier league long term we have to get out of this smalltime play style. Its not even about entertainment for me I have never cared about that but we need to play in a more optimal way to get points. Cooper at the start of this season had lost the plot a bit with the picks and the tactics. Nuno may have put people back in their correct positions and styles but hes still sitting deep.

But I would say unless Nuno wins a couple out of the next three he could well be toast whatever division we end up in.
