We only want what's best, for him.

I think you all know where I stand on this so no point in going over that again. But I do find it quite funny how some who advocated change are now squirming in their seats trying to find a positive in Lennon.
Same way as some who went out of their way - still go out of their way to make excuses for Freedman when he was as bad if not worse than the man they wanted out before he arrived.
Pearce was shit but Freedman was even worse.
If you are just basing it on results they both had a problem in that a good run was always followed by a losing run. As a manager if you can’t alter that you will always be under pressure when the next bad run comes around.
The difference as far as I am concerned is Freedman had a far tougher job on his hands than Pearce did. First he was following a club legend, so that was never going to be easy. He then had the problem of being left without his two main attacking options who were facing long term injuries and to cap it all Antonio was then sold on deadline day.
Pearce was shit but Freedman was worse.
And people keep on making excuses for Freedman but he knew all summer that Assombalonga was out and that Antonio was going at some stage. All he did to deal with it was get in O'Grady, a striker who couldn't score in a brothel full of sex starved nymphomaniacs. And then he played one up front at home. Useless. Stop making excuses for him.
Much as I love Stuart Pearce... he wasn't a success as Manager - I don't see how anybody can deny that.
No. I've seen enough of that useless incompetent to last me a lifetime.hello Der Drater, If you wanted to engage in some Dougie talk with me all you had to do was ask.
I take it I can’t interest you in our deluxe edition fan club package that includes a signed Dougie photo?
Nigel just needs this helping hand.
I remember it and took it for what it was. He was Derby manager attempting to show the fans, players and everybody else connected to the club he managed at the time that time he in no way had split loyalties on the eve of the game against his team's biggest rivals. That fixture is huge, and he is bright enough unlike say, say Kinnear, to recognise that. It was calculated manager speak. He was doing his job, and doing it well. Derby usually beat us with Clough was in charge.
But any Derby fans that were wondering about split loyalties, were still clearly right. He is Forest second highest scorer of all-time and one of the best players to have played for the club. He won trophies and broke into the England team as a Forest player. Of course he loves Forest. He's made it known he wanted the job how many times? The people closest to him point out how fond of Forest he is all the time.
As well as getting his players up for the big derby game, and the Derby fans right behind a Forest legend, with that he also hooked in a few sensitive Forest fans. It was that easy that I'm sure when he's appointed he'll win you all back around with another equally throwaway line before a win over Derby.
Do you not think hed be daft to not at least have a crack at the championship with Burton next season?Clough was appointed manager of Burton after they had played 20 games this season and scored 24 goals under Hasselbaink. Clough inherited a low scoring team who were going along just nicely in first position, but still had a lot to do. Burton have scored 26 in 19 games under Clough and are still top with 7 games to go.
Colchester have conceded 87 goals this season, Burton have conceded 33, which is why they are both where they are - 23rd and 1st respectively.
Me too. Burton are were they are because of him, it's as simple as that. Many people want an up and coming manager and say yes to Robinson. Nigel has been doing it for years. Take away his last name and a lot would want a manager like him.Yes, I think he actually has a better gig right now for his own long-term future in football management. But if it is wish to manage Nottingham Forest at some point (and all clues point to that being the case) and he actually gets that opportunity in the summer after helping Burton to promotion, he may well want to take it anyway. And I think that'd be great.
Id say taking away his name makes him less attractive to take the job..... I didnt like his tactics or his conduct on the touch line when he was at the sheep, i know hes his own man but his old man certainly wasent like that, not what i was brought up on seeing. If i wanna see a shit tribute act ill pop down MFN.Me too. Burton are were they are because of him, it's as simple as that. Many people want an up and coming manager and say yes to Robinson.
