Neil Lennon has been priced at 6/1 to become the next Forest manager.

You think it will be better if Lennon or Clarke come in? Many of those sat there are ST holders. Halve those numbers and then see how many come. We are between a rock and a hard place.

The ones that would sell tickets the likes of MON and Pearson won't be coming.

There will be folk who wont go until a managers left, ive heard, read and seen folk do that for various managers since Clough..... theres always a voyeuristic element to a new manager coming in that puts bums on seats

Genuinely not really sure what you mean with halving the numbers so forgive me but i cant really see us selling any where near the amount we sold even this year if Dougal would have remained.

Some will see Lennon doing Barca on TV and will be happy with that appointment, others will see Clarke again as an appointment to at least give a chance to... got to admit both will at least be coming with some postives, not saying they are the right men for the job but id certainly give them a chance.

As per Robbo on the Boot Room the other night, id be on the phone to MON and at least be asking the question. Unrealistic? yes probably but how many ugly blokes do you see with fit birds? if you dont ask you dont get and if i was Fazza id make it known id at least asked as well.

I mean say we sold 12,000 ST last season we are more likely to sell much less this season.

Lennon will turn lots of fans away. More likely to be neutral with Clarke. Probably more apathy.

Yes I would be contacting MON if I was Fazza but he is very unlikley to be coming lets be truthful. Pearson has better options than us too.

ST sales would have been crap if Freedman had stayed but are unlikely to be much better unless Fazza can pull a rabbit out of a hat which so far he has been unable to do in the last 4 years of his tenure.

No. Just no.

Something is seriously wrong at Forest if we're selling 12,000 season tickets and Brighton have 24,000 season ticket holders. You can't tell me that Brighton are a better supported club than Forest?! Perhaps they just have lower expectations. I guess their new ground attracts new fans too but you can't tell me that 24,000 were queuing up for season tickets at the Goldsmiths!

Neil Lennon was a crap player when he was here and I have no doubt he'll be crap manager. Take your time, Fawaz. Don't go for someone who has just relegated Bolton.

He did his best at Bolton but they're a club that I just don't think could be saved. The Aston Villa of the Championship.

After his Bolton experience he wouldn't be an outstanding candidate right now.

Needs to repair his managerial reputation and prove himself somewhere else in England. He's probably at a similar level as Freedman and we don't want like-for-like replacements.

Up against it at Bolton, but you dont throw players like Heskey & Gudjohnsen at the problem and expect to come out with anything better than a 22% win ratio.

Lennon just seemed to shrug his shoulders through the whole experience.

Surely we wouldnt be that stupid.

I think you all know where I stand on this so no point in going over that again. But I do find it quite funny how some who advocated change are now squirming in their seats trying to find a positive in Lennon.

Haven't seen many positive comments scraped together.
500+ voted on Twitter, 96% didn't want him. Would be an unpopular choice. He's a bit of a **** to be fair.

I was really talking about the anybody but Dougie crowd.

I don’t think Lennon will get the job. Even Fawaz is not that stupid.

Brighton are still on a high, they were homeless for years and not far off dead and buried in the lower leagues.
New stadium, good team, affluent area = 24,000 season ticket holders.

Us on the other hand, train wreck for 17 years, false dawns, rising ticket prices for the same old same old. Fans are getting bored with it.

On Lennon. Same as a Dougie, so what is/was the point in all this?
However, I'll support him if he comes in. I do believe when we do come good it will be under someone we least suspect, could have been Dougie, might be Lennon.

No way, fans wouldn't not turn up if they didn't like a bloke or his football. It would be blamed on prices and the reduction across the board in football, the embargo the loss of the pearce factor and injuries.

If there were more of a Dougie crowd at the back end of BC Weds and Hudds games and crowds in general at the Preston game you might not of had to have posted this. Im assuming you've had a look of the pics a few posts before? What ever your thoughts they dont lie

You sure about that?

Look at Fawaz' track record. He's hardly up there with James Dyson, Alan Sugar and Richard Branson in the "great business decisions" stakes is he?

When you can get say Caldwell from Wigan or Edinburgh from Gillingham. Even Appleton at Oxford. I just don’t think that after looking at all the options he will say right you know who we must get… Neil Lennon. I can see how he has appointed the managers he has. I can’t see why he would even think of Lennon.

He's available. Those others you mention aren't.

I imagine it'll start with a "Lennon: Reasons to be Cheerful" thread

I take it that someone has told Fawaz that you don’t just have to select from managers that are out of work. You can go and try and get someone who is already doing a good job at another club.

It was the prime reason we ended up with Freedman.
If we pinch somebody from another club we will end up potentially paying a compensation fee to the club which has an impact on a no doubt tight FFP embargo situation.

I believe we're still paying Billy Davies after sacking him?

We probably would have given Freedman a package to leave too? He still had a year left on his contract.

Dyson made 100s of prototypes until he finally got it right, spent millions in the process. Alan Sugar is a moron... I get your point though!

In Lennon we trust.
