Neil Lennon has been priced at 6/1 to become the next Forest manager.

Lennon, who spent the 2007/08 season at the City Ground, going on to make 18 appearances for the club as well as captaining the side, would surely welcome a chance to return to one of his playing clubs and prove that he has the ability to successfully manage in the Championship, after being relieved of his duties at cash-strapped, bottom of the table Bolton.

Billy Davies has also been priced at 6/1 by Sky Bet, although a move for the former Preston and Derby boss would seem unlikely considering the recent comments published by the press and the fact that he has unsuccessfully managed Forest twice before, the second period of which he was sacked before the 2012/13 season’s end.

Paul Williams, currently in temporary charge of the club until the end of the season, could also be in with a chance of gaining the managerial role if he convinces the board over the next month and a half that he is the right man to take the club forward.

So we're just going to welcome Lennon in and help him regenerate his career-or not. This manager hunt just get crazier and crazier.

Would we even get 15k through the door?

New manager will get bums on seats for at least one game, we wont officially get less than 15k this season.

I'd sooner drink battery acid than pay to watch a game unddr Lennon

As I work for one of the worlds' largest vehicle battery suppliers, I can both assist and join in with you here.

If (and not forgetting, it's still a massive if) there's anything in this, those who were welcoming the input and advice of Messrs McGovern and Clark should perhaps be reconsidering how reassured they were. An appointment such as this would have "old school" advice written all over it.

He did his best at Bolton but they're a club that I just don't think could be saved. The Aston Villa of the Championship.

After his Bolton experience he wouldn't be an outstanding candidate right now.

Needs to repair his managerial reputation and prove himself somewhere else in England. He's probably at a similar level as Freedman and we don't want like-for-like replacements.

Fawaz won't appoint Lennon. He listens to the fans on who to appoint or not, just as he did for McClaren, Cotterill, O'Driscoll, Davies (first time), Mcleish and Freedman.

when all the ludicrous suggestion have past the reality will set in, any better than dougie?

I think this was the argument that many had. Who realistically is going to come who is any better than Dougie?
Dougie wasn't great but the likely next manager isn't going to be much better.
We are a poisoned chalice which the better managers will most likely avoid like the plague.

As long as Fawaz is here, we'll not get a decent manager with a solid reputation. I'm sure managers talk amongst themselves both after games and during LMA meetings and Fawaz doesn't get good reviews from many managers after talking or working with them. I'm thinking McCarthy, Warnock etc.

Then we can have the conversation on whos better and was it the right choice.

If you cant see why the owner would be concerned at that theres not much that can be said.

(credit and thanks for the images goes to another poster, she knows who she is)

You think it will be better if Lennon or Clarke come in? Many of those sat there are ST holders. Halve those numbers and then see how many come. We are between a rock and a hard place.

The ones that would sell tickets the likes of MON and Pearson won't be coming.
