I don't know who the chose Man-of-the-Match today but they clearly had a massive blind spot as far as Williams was concerned. His energy throughout was hugely impressive and it's so unfortunate that he was left isolated against the Liverpool lad for their goal.

He’s been our best player for a good while now whether that’s coming off the bench or starting. He’s an old fashioned type player. Very good.

I think Aina is better on the right than on the left, so I'd take him and Williams at RB. I guess that leaves ?? and ?? at LB though, unless Tavares continues to improve.
Williams / Aina - RB
Tavares / ??? / Toffolo - LB

We could bring in Leif Davis as a cheap option and blood him in slowly. Depends if Ipswich come up though.

We have a year option on Aina.

Even tho you might be right, I’d still start Aina over Toffs just for the offensive contribution that he can offer. Williams has been far too good to drop.

Neco’s last month has been fantastic. It’s great to see his consistency shining through. He has also become a threat . Really proud of his efforts and seeing him develop into the player we need.

Keep it up

Agree - I'd like Aina back in the side and Neco is the last player I'd drop at the moment, so that's the obvious solution.

Excellent, and well deserved. He is developing into a very decent player.

Who knew eh, young lads needing time to find their feet?
