I honestly don’t get this argument. He tried to be clever for the first goal and should have thundered the ball up field. It was an obvious error and not one that he’ll do again very often (all players occasionally do that). He was also harshly booked after ten mins which leaves him vulnerable.

But he’s been immense defensively and offers the added benefit of being able to play incredible passes that help us go forward. Play experience next to him but I don’t know why you would want experience necessarily. Felipe was crap as well next to him yesterday and Niakhate has plenty of bird brain moments in him too.

If fit I’d still play Murillo and Boly as you have the combination of height, positioning, strength, leadership and experience next to what Murillo offers. I don’t know why you wouldn’t play your stand out players.

He's a young lad and inconsistency is always going to be an issue with young players although Murillo has done extremely well to be less inconsistent than most young players. Leon Bailey was having this issue last season and now he's thriving with a year under his belt.

We have got a very young side across the board in our 11 and a lot of inexperience at PL level. If we can stay up then I think we've got a great foundation for next year. We do need to add some experience to the side though. Using Villa as an example again, look at what John McGinn has given Villa this year, he's controlled games for them. Watkins will get the headlines but McGinn is the true player of the season.

If our mysteriously injured AFCON players somehow feel like a game, we don't need all the central defenders so the young lad can have a night off. Do him good to have a day off doing nothing but learn English (or something even more fun).

Yeah what was the story with the Afcon players all injured-sounds odd that all 3 of them are injured, when as far as I know, they weren’t injured in the final. Bizzare. Let’s hope it’s more giving them a rest and they are back for Wednesday.

Probably not a popular opinion but if we can get top money for the lad he will be far easier to replace than an awoniyi or MGW and I’d sooner keep those two.

The lads top drawer in most areas but my only worry is he half a yard out of position a fair bit off crosses which most people have not noticed so far - he’ll get better in the transition and positional sense with games but if someone offers us £50m we should snap thier hands off
