Jack Armstrong
I’d be delighted with this player. 4 good reliable CD’s with 2 talented youngsters waiting in wings.
Moussa Niakhate, the captain of Mainz, should be added to Forest’s payroll soon, despite reports in Germany that talks with the Bundesliga club have broken down. Niakhate, a 26-year-old Frenchman, is a quick, tall centre-half and would feasibly cost upwards of £10 million.
If this guy signs and Williams and Toffolo come to fruition in the coming days, that's the back 6 sorted (at least for now). That only really leaves midfield and some reinforcements...Well you can’t get clearly than that from DT
Looks as decent as we can hope for. I'd be happy with that.If this guy signs and Williams and Toffolo come to fruition in the coming days, that's the back 6 sorted (at least for now). That only really leaves midfield and some reinforcements...
If AMN, MGW and the lad from Rangers all come off we'll be nearly sorted with about £80m spend.
Henderson - loan
Williams - £15m
Worrall
Niakhate - £10m
McKenna
Toffolo - £4m
AMN/Yatesy - £15m
Aribo - £10m
MGW - £22m
Johnson
Awoniyi - £17.5m
£90m +...
That's as good a team as I think we can hope for. A few mill left for some wild cards as well...
Plenty of cover for most positions. Bit soft in midfield and upfront though.
Add further quality next season.
However we need much better squad depth than this. As much as I appreciate their efforts for us, we are in trouble if we are relying on Cafu, Lolley and Grabban if we pick up a few injuries/suspensions.Cafu, Colback and Lolley to add squad depth in midfield.
Grabban and Surridge to add squad depth up front.
Cook, Mbe Soh and Panzo for cover at the back.
Agreed ... But this is where we'll have to ride our luck next season if we're to stay up. Picking up injuries and lots of suspensions would almost certainly see us too weak to compete. The trouble with losing half our squad that got us up!Looks as decent as we can hope for. I'd be happy with that.

Hmmm. Not this Lolley geezer again. He's finished. How many chances do y'all want to give him?Cafu, Colback and Lolley to add squad depth in midfield.
I think we at least need a few decent squad players to compete really. Replace those three with better and we'll have half a chance.Agreed ... The Bundesliga is definitely a strategy the club are targeting...Great news.
Really glad this one is happening, it looks a good price too, another reason to shop abroad and not bother buying off big English teams.
You could say they don't have the financial MainzIt's crazy that Mainz can't compete with us financially.

Awful punnage and bonus points for the funny husky meme.

I know, just incredible!!Perfectly reasonable post, but still read things like this and think how in the f*** has this happened. Walking out the Cardiff/Boro home games last season thinking yep, we're down. Just amazing!
Driving home from the Middlesbrough home game,it sounded as if Colin Fray and Steve Hodge werePerfectly reasonable post, but still read things like this and think how in the f*** has this happened. Walking out the Cardiff/Boro home games last season thinking yep, we're down. Just amazing!
