I think we need a bloody loud ghetto blaster in the dressing room pre-match to get the players motivated for the start of each half. One that the opposition can hear in their dressing room.

On second thoughts, thinking back to the Crazy Gang, that may not be such a good idea.

Sliding door game. Wood should score and Maddison should have walked. That gives us a real base to go at.

I don’t mean to make excuses but the reality is we keep getting these decisions against us at points in the match that are crucial.

That said I HATE the we gave up. That came from Nuno and the players in turn knew the same. What you could be sure of is all of the teams below us would have given it a fight

This mercenary bullshit again. Every club has loads of players with no affinity to the club. It's the nature of modern football. How many of the Everton or Sheff U players really give a shit about their clubs?

Anyway, same again. Forest lose so the sky is falling in. Predictable.

The mercenary comes from watching players jump out of tackles in the second half watching CHO stand on the edge of the box and watch the Spurs full back unmarked smash the ball into our goal.

All the above happens second half and has happened in several matches all season.

I didn't think we were that bad, as someone else pointed out it looked like we literally ran out of steam in the second half. We do not need Gibbs-White or Wood being injured though. I know MGW got an ice pack coming off, but hoping that Wood was subbed just to get a rest

Everyone's rightly pissed off at another loss - especially given we could have taken the lead.

But our starting XI was pretty much our best XI.

When Postecoglou changed the Spurs midfield, I couldn't see how we could match it without changing formation, because we don't currently have the players, imho.

Before that, we could easily have taken the lead - deservedly - but Wood missed some chances, but who's seriously going to blame him when he's been massive in recent months? Even Salah misses multiple chances, ffs. Just because we make fewer chances doesn't mean we can hold our players to higher standards than, let's face it, genuinely world-class players.

Similarly, I don't understand people calling for changes before they were made. What changes would work in that situation? We were losing the tactical battle at that point, so like for like isn't going to make any difference. Maybe we could have packed the midfield, played with 2 (or even 1) up front - is that what people would have preferred?

Shut up shop in a 4-5-1/5-4-1 at 1-1 and fail to hold out for a draw, or go for it in a 4-2-4 and get ripped to shreds? Either way, no-one's happy.

Imho, at least we
Yeah but if we go down then I guarantee you we'll sell a lot of our decent players

Yeah, no fight or aggression at all in majority of the team apart from a few players. Spurs looked a lot more physical then we did.

No reason why we couldn't have nabbed a point though.

I'm not too down on today, they were always favorites, but after the first half it's disappointing we didn't react sooner & better to their midfield changes.

And the lack of fight towards the end just aggravates.

Every Forest fan and his dog knew that bringing Origi on was waving the white flag. I'd no issue with protecting Wood, but I'd sooner see Ribero on, and at least have someone with some youthful energy go at it.
Those white boots of Origi are like new seeing hes had them for 5 seasons now..

It tizwas it is
looking at our bench I couldn't see any changes that would have made a difference - we had our best XI on the pitch...
There was no obvious change that could have been made at half time other than subbing Yates to avoid a red, that he didn’t get anyway We started the first half poor then turned it around, no reason to doubt we couldn’t have turned it around second half with the same players.

This has been a recurring theme for CHO, this season. I don't think it's because he's a mercenary; I think it's because he clearly hasn't a clue what to do when defending set-pieces. That's on the coaches and whoever is tasked with organising the defence on the pitch, imho.

We’re not good enough to play the way we played against Fulham regularly. That’s why we are where we are. So this performance shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone. But the fact we can play the way we played against Fulham is why I still think we’ll be in this league next year.

The enemy now for players and fans is to let this kill Tuesday’s feel-good momentum. We need to keep rolling up and trying to be that team, and all we need is to be it 2 or 3 more times.

Plenty more that’s wrong with this team and staff, but that’s for the summer. We go on.

I was worried at half time we missed our chance as I knew they would change it up and come out fighting second half. Sadly that’s what happened in the second half.

I agree as sad as it sounds my main concern today was not losing by more than 2 goals to protect the GD. I mean I hoped for a shock result but that’s all it was hope.

I like yourself was very disappointed with the lack of effort second half. Players jumping out of tackles. But I am afraid that is what you get when to a large extent we have a team of mercenaries. When the going gets tough our boys tend to shy away from the challenge.

Say what you want about Luton but if are lads had half the passion and fight and desire as the Luton players do we would be a lot higher up the table.

Disagree about players jumping out of tackles - we got some yellow cards for players jumping into tackles. Thought we got the balance about right - those missed chances killed us.

Most of the key metrics were comparable, shots/on target/had higher xG than Spurs but came out losing without a whimper in the end.

Forest somehow will gift the oppo a goal, miss sitters and end up on the losing side.

Feel quite deflated having watched that second half. Fiest half we more than matched them. Should have gone in at the break in the lead. But second half we looked a different team - a poorer team. Quite dispiriting really

Good sides often make you look that way. I think we coped well until we didn't. That's why they're pushing for CL.

Just quickly, and for clarity, so as to put the Sky Sports narrative to bed and stop their spin becoming reality:

A player IS allowed to make the "TV/VAR" signal - they're just not allowed to do it "excessively".

Yates is punched and asks the ref to take a look. That's not in any way excessive.

Great last 15 minutes of the first half, but a combination of the half time subs and ourselves running out of steam was our down fall today.

Can’t for the life of me understand why Nuno still persists with Origi, he literally offers nothing and will never be seen from again at the end of the season. Surely Ribeiro or Osong from the academy deserve a go ahead of him.

I think that he does tells you how far off the other two are.

So Murillo gets his first senior goal, but at the wrong end!

Almost so different. He'll get the wonder goal soon, hope it's with us.
