Reality Check - We were never going to win AWAY against a good attacking team. Our priority lies in the next two games.
No reason why we couldn't have nabbed a point though.

I'm not too down on today, they were always favorites, but after the first half it's disappointing we didn't react sooner & better to their midfield changes.

And the lack of fight towards the end just aggravates.

Every Forest fan and his dog knew that bringing Origi on was waving the white flag. I'd no issue with protecting Wood, but I'd sooner see Ribero on, and at least have someone with some youthful energy go at it.

Yes but it isn't that simple, shef united and burnley are probably about as good as we are

I would rather be playing already relegated teams with nothing to play for than teams who have something to play for.

Hopefully we get all four points back but this was not a game that I went into expecting anything from, in truth I didn't from Fulham at home either but the task remains the same, match or better Luton results.

If you are chasing a game, without disrespect you can't expect to put Origi in the mix and expect anything but a blank.

This is the reality of premier league football, spurs were losing control and couldn't cope, they bought on a £22m player and £15m which changed things. They then bought on a £26m player and £55m player to close the match out.

We bought on 3 loan players as well as Dominguez who cost £6m and Sangare who somehow cost £30m so its not remotely comparable.

Hope MGW is OK, we need to up the ante again at the wfcg and he will.be a key part of that.

I wasn't expecting anything today, but I fully expected to beat Fulham, and we should have had beat at least 1 of Palace & Luton.

So I'm wondering, what games remaining do you expect us to win chap?

I was worried at half time we missed our chance as I knew they would change it up and come out fighting second half. Sadly that’s what happened in the second half.

I agree as sad as it sounds my main concern today was not losing by more than 2 goals to protect the GD. I mean I hoped for a shock result but that’s all it was hope.

I like yourself was very disappointed with the lack of effort second half. Players jumping out of tackles. But I am afraid that is what you get when to a large extent we have a team of mercenaries. When the going gets tough our boys tend to shy away from the challenge.

Say what you want about Luton but if are lads had half the passion and fight and desire as the Luton players do we would be a lot higher up the table.

I don't get why origi comes on again, give rebeiro a chance, try something bloody different. It can't be any worse and you might just hit it lucky and he shows he has something

I think Nuno simply favours experience at this level, there’s absolutely no other reason

Yeah I would but thing is they've both improved recently and we're playing them away and we've had 2 away wins in 2 prem seasons

If we cannot get anything in those two games well let’s be honest then we likely deserve to go down.

I'm still positive about the run-in. Didnt expect us to have a chance today but strangely we did. Maybe without Yates getting an early yellow, Spurs not getting away with chopping down Elanga all the time, it would have been different, let alone the foul on CHO on the sideline, a few against MGW, Brennans studs up on Danilo, the punch that wasnt and so much more to do with the ref...

Yes Wood missed the shot but he didn't miss the first. Think against 10 men they would still have attacked and we would have had even more chances to score. Now we'll never know...

Really hope MGW, CHO, Elanga and Danilo can play against Wolves after the sh#t they got this game. I say start with the starting 11 again.

COYR! Believe! We can definitely still do it....

Everyone's rightly pissed off at another loss - especially given we could have taken the lead.

But our starting XI was pretty much our best XI.

When Postecoglou changed the Spurs midfield, I couldn't see how we could match it without changing formation, because we don't currently have the players, imho.

Before that, we could easily have taken the lead - deservedly - but Wood missed some chances, but who's seriously going to blame him when he's been massive in recent months? Even Salah misses multiple chances, ffs. Just because we make fewer chances doesn't mean we can hold our players to higher standards than, let's face it, genuinely world-class players.

Similarly, I don't understand people calling for changes before they were made. What changes would work in that situation? We were losing the tactical battle at that point, so like for like isn't going to make any difference. Maybe we could have packed the midfield, played with 2 (or even 1) up front - is that what people would have preferred?

Shut up shop in a 4-5-1/5-4-1 at 1-1 and fail to hold out for a draw, or go for it in a 4-2-4 and get ripped to shreds? Either way, no-one's happy.

Imho, at least we scared Spurs in the first half - and could have taken the lead. Whether we would have held onto it is another question (we wouldn't). But they could call on proper players to change the dynamic. We're nowhere near that level, unless we're extremely lucky and Reyna gets a hat-trick of assists in 30 minutes.

We matched a "Big 6" side by playing football, up until the point where we couldn't match them, but we didn't have to rely on some magical "plucky never-say-die-until-you're-actually-dead" like Luton, or Kompany's inability to see that the reason they get so many dodgy decisions (they do) is because their shit tactics don't work in the EPL with the players they have, so they conceded so many decisions, some of which are going to be dodgy. Or Brentford's "sounds-a-bit-like-Brighton-and-used-to-be-good-at-transfers-so-must-be-a-big-club-love-in-b*llocks."

Whatever. Even if we go down, we've discovered that we actually have a decent team.

My problem with the defeatist idea that we were never gonna get anything out of that anyway is it promotes a defeatist attitude when we have got points against similarly good teams in the past (albeit at home mostly) but also we have more a habit of losing to the teams we should get something out of it.

So if it's "oh well" for this result what's gonna be the reaction if Wolves beat us?
