I loved him yesterday the question is how does Frueller get in this team?!?!?! What a squad we are getting together.
The same way any player will get in this team - wait for whoever has possession of the the shirt to pick up an injury, suspension, tiredness or loss of form, then grab their opportunity by playing well enough to not lose the shirt. Fierce competition for places across the team benefits everyone.

The little train that could. Well deserved man of the match even though there were 2 or 3 others in contention; Williams, Henderson, Mangala, all filled me with confidence.

Apologies for plagiarism… I hadn’t t trawled back far enough. We are not wrong though are we?
No apology necessary. I appreciate that you can make a similar comparison.

If, during his career, he ever reaches a standard anywhere even close to vintage Alan Ball, he'll have moved on to far greater heights than we can possibly offer.

His performance very much reminded me of Kalvin Phillips.

I really really like watching this guy play. He won a lot of his battles today and moved the ball forward/to a red shirt beautifully. He'll complement most of our other mids really well.

Got caught with the ball a few times in the first half but really grew into the game. I've really enjoyed watching him, Freuler will have his work cut out to displace him.

Exactly what I thought, happened at Newcastle too, there are a few times he just tries to take that extra second and he gets caught out.

and the fact that's the only thing he's done 'wrong' with three games experience in the premier league makes me very excited for this signing. I don't really study other teams or watch their games too closely, so while I knew the name and saw him play decent against us, that was all I knew. I liked what I heard on here, but the step up is a huge one.

This guy looks like he will be just fine. He's one of those signings that, when the media talk about how much we've spent, I don't see it was x amount. Yes we may have spent 150mil, but if we went down this season guys like O'Brian and Williams are already people you just know you'd get your money back on. Yes it's 150mil but you're telling me Sheff Utd, Fulham, Brentford, Everton etc. won't be willing to spend 10-20mil on those guys next season after they have proven they are premier league players?

Early days but I think he’s my favourite signing. Tidy, intelligent, relentless.

Great ball control so finds time to pick the right pass or carry in possession. Only real weakness is his physical strength when do does get challenged, but he won’t be the first diminutive midfielder to smash it at the top level if he can work on using his body to win fouls.
