Disagree.

Blackburn are a side who try to play more football than they have in previous years. Probably a have a bit more pace about their side than normal.

More options for us to break quickly. Grabban's brilliant link play and ability to move the ball will be vital on the break, as will his instincts to get in the right places.

Murphy is probably still out of breathe from that sprint he did on Wednesday. Grabban all the way for me.

He's not our best striking option away at Blackburn.

We're gonna be a bit more direct, so by definition, the attacking element to our game will rely on the strikers ability to compete physically & bring others in.

Grabbans played himself out that role recently & Murphys played his way in.

Unless Murphys knackered from Stoke, Id be shocked if he doesnt start.
Murphy wasn’t fully fit and that’s why he only played 50 mins. He’s not gonna play on Saturday.

And a bit of perspective, his goals have got us 6 points in the past week.

Slowly coming together, he'll bag plenty if we can get him the ball

Far from convinced by Grabban but he's starting to score regularly which is all we need.

Hope having Murphy breathing down his neck will help but I also hope Soudani is fit again soon as we need strikers. That's the one position that doesn't look adequately covered by our transfer policy.

Is he really our best penalty taker when we usually have one of Lolley, Carvalho, Osborn, Cash on the pitch?

Never seen osborn take a pen. Cash took one in shootout vs Bury & missed.

Carvalho would be my best past Grabban but he missed one for Portugal U21 a few weeks ago. It’s a complete lottery at the end of the day.

Like said in another thread Ansarifard knows how to take a pen.

Not sure if its been said but Grabban has huge bollocks to take that penalty, Dias had the ball under his arm and Grabban calmly walks over and collects it from him before taking an almost perfect penalty, to have that confidence is huge.

Side note, noone argued about who should take it no Lansbury v Britt situation which was better, also ive come to the conclusion Grabban wont be doing a great deal in games but when he gets a chance he will take it (only had 5 chances 3 ended up in the net one being offside and one the flight of the ball deceived him)

In other words he is a “sniffer” like Ian Rush and Alan Clark. Doesn’t do much in the game but is always there when a scoring chance presents itself. These players are invaluable to a team and I am confident that Grabban will show his worth over the course of a season.

That's how I've always seen Grabban. He will be acussed of not doing anything or looking lazy. In fact, he is waiting on that one moment and that usually turns into a goal.
Personally, I think he is a very competent striker. He knows where the goal is and is finding it regularly. His confidence is getting better with each game.

Karanka thinks he's the best striker in the league.

If he gets 20+ in the season, he would have done his job.

I read somewhere he gets his goals in streaks. He's in one at the moment.

Think the lazy assessment is lazy in itself, he works hard.

Ive absolutely no issue with him being a poacher, i love a good poacher... its him hanging out on the wing i dont like... get in the box man thats where you earn your crust

Think that's a fair conclusion, I just think your lone striker needs another string to his bow. Theres a viable goal threat in the three behind him & he'll need to bring them in to play.

Murphys goal record stands up.

One less gobshite...
Grabban has been a consitent 20-goals-per-season player, in sides that have been promoted and in struggling sides

he is the kind of player he is, he'll deliver for us

and we're getting goals from around him too

Murphy is also good at his game, and AK will use both and get the rewards from that strategy
