£15M is paper talk. A player that cost them nothing and can't get near their first team is never going to get £15M - unless there's a bidding war for him. £5 - £10M is reasonable.

I would imagine that whatever the actual real figure of any deal is, if indeed one is done, it will be obfuscated by all sorts of clauses, add-ons and extras - officially declared as 'Undisclosed' and unofficially reported as a wild variety of numbers across all news and information sources.

Agreed. £5m plus add ons seems about right for me, his goalscoring record is atrocious really and goals keep teams up. It would be a mistake for me to spunk a good chunk of our budget on him hoping he fires us to safety. Also, his history with injuries isn't great either.

I would be more than happy with him anything below 8 to be honest. As long as you have goalscorers around him like we have had this season he is super effective at what he does.

With Lowe, Davis, and even Samba the early signals have been that agents and clubs think they can hold us to ransom. If the rumours about Awoniyi and Henderson are true, hopefully it sends a early signal we’ll happily look elsewhere

I reckon he'll end up here eventually, sooner or later Villa will need to be realistic about what fee they are likely to get and that's when we'll pounce.

He'll sign for us for about £5m in August, IMO.

I think we've moved on from Davies based on the striker links that are flying around.
Much as I enjoyed watching him last season and admire his particular mix of attributes I don't think he will anywhere near as effective in the prem and whilst that doesn't mean he isn't worth adding to squad it will be as a "stocking filler" and therefore the deal absolutely needs to be at the right price. If we go around wasting 10-15M on players like this we will be in the shit financially in very short order....

There's starting to be whispers than Keinan is off on loan again - this time to Sheffield United.

I'd still like to have him back here - I realise he'd probably be second choice, but what an option to have coming off the bench.

So instead of selling him for a decent and fair fee, they're going to loan him and get him closer to the end of his contract and sell him for less.

Who knows - keep an eye on his progress at Sheff Utd and if we need someone in January and he's stayed fit and added some goals to his abilities he'd been someone to consider as he's very much a known quantity
