But that’s a very childish position. If there’s anything we know about modern football it’s that players carry all the power and treat too many of them like this and very quickly it affects the dressing room.Unfortunately villa would be well within their rights to tell him he's under contract and getting paid handsomely. villa are under no obligation to sell and if they do they can slap whatever price they like on the lad.
He obviously doesn't want to be there, so there's no benefit to the club of doing the player any sort of favour.

So it’s not about them doing him “a favour” it’s about managing the soul of the club, and avoiding a bomb squad.
No one will be loaning him with a view to buy for a guaranteed fee of anything like £15m either though.same like spence and the likes of mgw, their parent club decide their price , villa sold grealish for 100m , 15m is a drop in the ocean for them , if they loan him out again , it'll likely be with a guaranteed fee at the end - a loan to buy,
Or the poor lad trains on his own and leaves on a free when he contract runs out.No one will be loaning him with a view to buy for a guaranteed fee of anything like £15m either though.
Villa can do what they like, but realistically they can either get £5-£8m this summer, or face letting him go for far less in the future. Keinan's stock is as high as it is ever going to get whilst he is contracted to Villa.
Agree, he's a beast and enjoyed his football while he was playing with Forest, this can only be a good thing for him and showed in the way he played, he can only improve too but I think he would be a great addition and fits in well with our style of play.He doesn't necessarily have to be a high scorer to be of value for us. I like him for his ability to maintain field position for us even outnumbered. He's almost unmovable on the ball and I can see that being positionally important at the top level, especially if our midfield is under the pump.
I kinda hope he's a late transfer to us.
I'd say £8-9m upfront with 20% sell-on of anything above that, and an extra £5m if he scores 12+ Prem goals in a single season. To me I think that's more than fair, if not a little inflated. There's no way he's going to be worth £15m in a year even if he scores 20 goals in the Championship. It’s perfectly sensible I reckon. They have a few options:
A) Sell to us for about £5m (assuming we even want him)
B) Keep him
C) Loan him out to a decent Championship club and hope he can actually score some goals this time and then sell him for about £15m
He’ll go to Boro.
No chance would I pay anywhere near that for him now, especially with a sell on. He’s a poor man’s Heskey. IF (big if) he could fire 20 goals for team that gets promoted then he’s easily £15m. We’ve just paid more than that for a wing back.I'd say £8-9m upfront with 20% sell-on of anything above that, and an extra £5m if he scores 12+ Prem goals in a single season. £15m for a 25 year old with a grand total of 1 Premier League goal with only a year left on his contract, whose club regards him as no way near the first team? The player has all the power in that instance and clubs would be happy to wait another 6 months to get him at a reduced price, or a year and get him for free.No chance would I pay anywhere near that for him now, especially with a sell on. I don't think you are in the minority, many admired him and his physical style. The problem is the goals. He did OK for us, but probably scored under par in the goals column given, as you say his physical dominance in games. Add to that his Villa scoring record is terrible and you have the possibility even probability of another "non goal scoring" number 9-particularly against prem level defenders. Whilst we can obviously make use of his talents, the lack of goals seriously affects his value IMO. If there had been a period in his career where he'd notched with regularity it might be different but as is I think 8M is generous...I know I’m in the minority when it comes to his admiration but if you have a player who’s 25 and just had an amazing season in the championship doing all those jobs you said, plus scoring loads of goals he’d be worth way more than the £8-9m you mention. Plus you’re not paying his wages this season. It’s always a bit of a gamble I guess but I still think he’ll go on loan maybe with a decent wedge payable on promotion or play offs. It’s all just numbers and I’m sure Villa know what they’re doing in the same way we do.
If they're not careful they could end up at Derby.Unfortunately football is an industry overrun with the childish mentalities of people who have far more money than sense.
There was however a moderately interest piece in the telegraph the other day highlighting how out-of-contract players are struggling to secure the bumper deals they normally do at this time of year. If true, this can only be a good thing!
Good to hear. Hopefully Villa have a more sensible price tag in mind now and we can strike a deal. Still think Keinan has a lot to offer.Trying to get him in according to Percy's latest article.
Absolutely. Taiwo will be the main man of course, but Keinan can be a real game changer coming off the bench or give our attack something different as an occasional starter in certain games. Still think there is more to come from Keinan as well. He was a perfect fit whilst on loan here, I'd love him to return permanently.Get this back in the transfer forum. Would love for this to be true, he offers something our other strikers don't.
Forest have also held cordial discussions with Aston Villa over a possible deal for Keinan Davis, who spent the second half of last season on loan.
Villa and Forest have excellent relationships both at board and manager level and Davis could yet return to the City Ground this summer.
Davis has joined Villa in Australia for their pre-season tour, however, and a deal is not believed to be imminent.
