Hasn't made the playing squad for Man U in tonight's friendly here in Melbourne. Still dealing with an injury, perhaps. But if FDJ comes onboard and Ronaldo stays ( who knows what is going on with either) plus whatever other signings they make, you still have to wonder if he'll be a regular, even on the bench.

Yah I'm a bit surprised he isn't even on the bench, but yesterday was his first day back in training from what I could see from the Man Utd websites' Tour Vlog, so it could be precautionary by ten Hag. Watching the game right now, Garner should walk into this team whether or not De Jong signs, McTominay is awful and Fred is never the same player from one game to the next.

Given who they’ve already signed, and who they are after (reportedly) I can’t see him getting ten appearances for Man U.

United didn't impress me much. Melb Victory played 5 at the back and it was a very dour affair. Liverpool are far more dynamic against Palace currently, yet lost 0-4 to Man U three days ago. Just shows how random preseason is. But it's giving a glimpse of how much we need to boost our mids.

I'm going to the MCG tonight to see the pre-season friendly Manchester United v Crystal palace.

Sort of - Manchester United played Melbourne Victory (4-1) on Friday night at the Melbourne Cricket Ground and are going to play Crystal Palace there tonight. James didn't get a run - apparently he sustained a minor injury but they're hoping he gets a run tonight.
I'm an MCC member so I get it a little cheaper (not much) - but tickets were $128.00 (AUD) -- about £73 ..
I think they're hoping for a crowd of 80,000.
