It’s ADIDAS (again!) and KAIYUN SPORTS not MACRON, not BOXT, or UNHCR

I am proud of the club personally, fully support the clubs decision to hard ball the sponsorship as the Forest shirt should be valued and it will pay off in the long term. Accept any old rabble and the next year, you'll get any old rabble at bargain basement price, and the next year... the year after...

And judging from those figures, the club is right when they say that Premier League clubs are selling themselves short in terms of shirt sponsors. If the whole bottom half took our approach the shirt sponsors going rate would double. We just sold a squad player with 1 year left on his deal more than we probably got offered in a shirt sponsor in the first year.
They're only worth what someone is willing to pay.

Why £3-5m?

You'd be looking at teams like Palace, Southampton and Wolves surely.

£6-£8m.
I think for a company looking at sponsoring a shirt those three clubs are much more relevant in modern football after us spending so long pissing about in the lower leagues.

Either way if it’s true we wanted 10M I can’t see it happening.

Nottingham Boat Club is my suggestion for a sponsor, I think that they deserve global recognition for their work in the boating arena but also their environmental work in preventing too much construction work that would only be of benefit to the local community and provide stupid things like homes, jobs and income.

Not necessarily.

IMO if we cooperate with any brand - especially one that will be plastered across our shirt - it should be one that reflects our values and how we want to see ourselves. It should be either blue chip (like EOn) or quintessentially Nottingham, and it should be an ethical brand (certainly not a betting company).

Not quite sure I’d put E-on and ethical into the same sentence

Whilst I think it looks a bit naff to not have secured a sponsor I have no idea why some are guessing the figures or bearing the burden of financial worry.

Let the club decide where the financial boundries of such things lie because they are far more qualified to do so than you, I highley doubt were on the brink of financial ruin whilst the club sit ignoring sponsorship offers 🙄

When the right deal comes along, im sure the club will notify us.

Rubbish.

We've got the best coaches, CEOs, financial directors and recruiters in the business on this forum.

Locally, we've had quite a lot of representation on our shirts.
All of our big breweries (Mansfield excepted) before their demise.
Wrangler, which had a strong local connection - similarly, Pinnacle, and of course, Capital One being locally-based companies with a wider UK reach.
Most recently, John Pye Auctions, which Mark Arthur used all of his negotiating skills to secure - despite the fact that JP was (presumably still is?) a Forest fan at the time.

He'd likely have no interest in it, or be prepared to stump-up the going rate, but I could possibly accept Paul Smith on our shirt, a brand with unquestionable Nottingham roots but global appeal.

I know that Nuno that I know that Nuno that I know
Games Workshop or their Warhammer brand could be a good sponsor

I heard on the grapevine that Shipstones last year offered to sponsor Forest when they couldnt find one. The club apparently declined them, I know Shipstones are a small company and they had a lot to gain to from that arrangement however how bloody cool would that have been!

There's no way that happened.

The current Shipstones Beer Company, is a small business using the trading name of the former brewery. Its 2022 accounts show a trading position of just over £100k.

We don't want to end up with back-to-back dodgy gambling companies that go bust again!

I think Paul Smith don't want to be associated with football and one club because it may hurt their sales from fans of other (rival) clubs.

It's probably the same reason why Pretty Green isn't associated with Man City.

It stinks to not have a sponsor, but as with transfer deals, I am fine with the club being patient in finding us the right sponsor financially. Looks like a decent chance will start season again with no sponsor, but will just have to wait and see.Sure lot of work going on in the background on it.

I dont think it will be a gambling company due to the new Premierleague legislations coming out about sponsors on tops.

I've just looked at the first article so may be wrong but apparently 8 teams currently have a gambling company on the front of their shirt, they will all be scrambling to find a new sponsor.

So if the club play this right they may avoid all the hassle in a few years time and have a sponsor of their choice sorted.
