It’s ADIDAS (again!) and KAIYUN SPORTS not MACRON, not BOXT, or UNHCR

I think Paul Smith don't want to be associated with football and one club because it may hurt their sales from fans of other (rival) clubs.
You'll see that I was pretty sceptical about the prospect of any potential partnership with PS when I mentioned the name. I was just stating it's a sponsorship name I'd could probably be amenable to seeing on our shirt.

Most companies would sponsor both Celtic and rangers to presumably avoid upsetting one side of the bigoted divide 🤣

I understand what you're saying, but I strongly doubt having Paul Smith (purely as an example) displayed on the front of our shirt would have any negative impact in Paris, Rome, Tokyo, New York, LA, Beijing, or anywhere else in Asia for that matter, in terms of potential lost sales. Other than Nottingham and London there are only a handfull of other UK cities where that brand has a presence.

Either it's a global brand or its not. If its not, there's no chance it will be on the front of a shirt in any case other than some kind of altruism.

A quick search shows 2022 it's turnover was just under £200m - I'd very much doubt it's entire promotion budget reaches £500k, let alone having sufficient to sponsor an EPL team.

I completely take your point about Stone Island in terms of the football terrace culture it's successfully cultivated.

However, as you imply, having Paul Smith on the shirt could have a fairly significant impact for Forest in terms of world-wide exposure.

Would love to see the reaction of the people that are shocked at a £75 shirt when they announce the price of a football shirt made by Paul Smith.

Would entice a new sort of crowd that don't give a shit about football but want something with Paul Smith on it so sales would go through the roof as this is the cheapest thing they could find.

If Sir Paul Smith designed a Forest shirt, I’d probably buy one for each day of the week, regardless of the cost (which would undoubtedly be, ah, impressive).

Paul Smith clobber is extremely good quality and cool as f*ck.
