Harewood set to sign deal to end of season

With the state of our midfield, boateng would actually be useful right now. He plays with passion, and at least moves around which is a massive step up from our current midfield
True, although he had a bit of a shaky start I thought he looked okay, and given the state of our midfield perhaps the reason he is being left out is because of appearance fees etc?? Just a thought.

You're train of thought is exactly the same as mine. That disastrous 10 weeks of SM's tenure will take years to put right and will probably lead to a period of time in the lower echelons of the Football League.

How could this have been allowed to happen? Staggering.

You would have thought that the previous Chairman and owner would have learned lessons from the David Platt debacle.

Instead it seems not, and we simply repeated them under McClaren.

When you read - if true - that Miller is on £15k a week, then it seems the owner "guaranteeing" the contracts may be a slightly tacit admission of his own guilt/naivety in the matter.

Thinking back to the Harewood - Johnson partnership.

I'm wondering whether a Harewood - Derbyshire/Findley partnership could work?!

He can't be any worse that Miller and will cost a third of the money. I hope we sell Miller and let SC spend the money elsewhere.

Marlon cares about Forest, I'm not sure you can say the same about Miller.

Harewood is a shadow of the player he was then, an even then he was a one season wonder. Don't get your hopes up, it's not fair on him.

I like to think he could do a job here again. I mean he was playing premiership football last season, admittedly only briefly but he must of done something good to be given the chance. I believe with us behind him and not moaing like a bunch of grumpy school children, we may get some performances out of him.

Hopefully that spells the end of Davey Mcgoldcarp.

Matt Derbyshire hasnt been given a fair crap at the wip and if we sold him now then it would be such a waste. Same with Miller, but he is so injury prone, you just couldnt write it.

Good to see him back at the club, heck this could turn out to be a really good coup, he managed to score 9 goals last season, 5 in the prem, and 4 in the championship so hopefully we could see the same sort of return this season. Just got to work out who'd be best to partner him upfront.

I do think Reid is putting is all in though, he's getting balls into the box but sadly nobody getting on the end of them. Could Marlon?

He could, and maybe his power and ability in the air is something that has attracted Cotterill?

They've been working together in training for a few weeks now, so maybe the Manager has seen something?

We know Cotterill likes a "target man" from his time at other clubs, so maybe that is what he sees in Marlon, with possibly Andy Reid banging in crosses from the wings?

Brought in with a view to replacing Miller until the end of the season? Maybe he is off to Boro. If I was being careful with my money this is what I'd do.

Oh aye, he cared a lot that day he ran over to the A Block kissing his West Ham badge didn't he?

When did that happen?

I only remember him scoring in the match after Clough died and he didn't celebrate

We don't know that

Maybe he came back from China with renewed speed, mobility & shooting accuracy after noshing on chicken feet, tree fungus & tigers balls for the past year

He must have learned something from his spell in China?

I don't think 10-15 goals is too much to ask considering the dosh he's being paid

I bet he isn't on as much as Derbyshire or Milller and neither of them look capable of scoring 10-15 goals...
