Harewood set to sign deal to end of season

Let's get behind him - i'd rather he went to us than any other NPC team. He's more likely to finish the chances we've managed to carve out - and must have done something different in training.

Miller will be off in Jan, and with any luck so will McGoldrick + Derbyshire. Even if his only purpose is to serve as cover for their "losses" then it's a good bit of business, and who knows he may score a few.

I'd like to think that Reid has been on the bench + not starting because Cotterill can see he's unfit, and so will have kept this in mind when signing Marlon.

No wonder my post count..
Is Grant Holt worth a look? Maybe Dawson too?

That's some powerful crack you're smoking there my son.

Harewood can score goals. We need a goal scorer. We have no money.

If a deal can be agreed, we have nothing to lose.

And, as a Forest old boy, he might at least give a damn about the predicament the club finds itself in, unlike perhaps some of our collection of players.

When is Derbyshire going to start slamming them in?

Tudgay and Blackstock isn't working, Findley seems a better option with Dex to me.

Blackstock looked well short of being match fit on Monday, and that's another problem as it is with Derbyshire who's also been out with that illness or whatever. Everything that can go wrong has been going wrong this year

Goals per games ratio pisses all over our current crop of none scoring strikers. On a six months deal, this can only be seen as a positive move!

I'm not unhappy with this .. Not ecstatic ..

He must have been the only striker scoring at training.

That's because he trains against OUR defence :(

With his tally of no goals, he's already one of our top scorers....

I think he will do well for the club, or I hope he does.

He loves Forest and hopefully he can score early on and get some confidence back in himself and the team.

He cant do any worse than Miller, Derbyshire etc.

Good news. Get rid of £15,000 a week (thankyou McClown) Miller who will be in the treatment room for most of his contract before we let him go on a free transfer.

Marlon will get goals is cheap and isn't crocked as much as Miller.

I believe Miller is on around £18000 a week, which is unreal, like you say for a treatment room player!

Just Derbyshire and Greening to sell also who are on around £15000 I believe

All round I think our hat's gotta be off to whoever's sorted this. If we can ship Miller out for a decent price then we've dropped right on - similar level/type of player but for less money, a contract which expires end of season so the wage issue won't be a problem if we need to trim further, and because of his history here he might actually care a bit, put in and help lift the crowd.

We'll see, but it's better than having Miller spunk 15k/18k a week on bling and whores from the injury table whilst telling us to get of his useless back.

Spot on, what a god-awful decision to bring Miller here on that salary in very lean times especially in the football world.

Well done Schteve, you truly are a marvel at football management.

To me mate it's really obvious that McClaren didn't have one iota of a clue or plan - he really did just join up and sign whoever he could sign without any real forethought or planning.

Greening and Reid were linked with the club before he was here - the TAP, or whoever, saw them as "value" buys so offered him them, to which he simply said yes without any clue what we needed (central midfielders certainly weren't).

Boatwank is an old boys club signing similar to JFH - they're mates, Schteve could get them a job.

Derbyshire and Miller were simply labled as the type of players Schteve was after, but he's obviously not looked into anything about them before actually signing them. Clueless.

And Doughty allowed this muppet to play with his/our millions whilst not spending 1 bean when we were in a great position with Billy.

If you gave the likes of you or me, McClaren, and Doughty £20k a peice and ask us to start a business from scratch using no previous contacts or setup and we'd be turning over far great a profit in months than they would in years. It's basic shit and people have had far too much faith in Doughty simply because he has money (a lot of which he inherited.) so they assume he knew what he was doing.

Clueless.

You're train of thought is exactly the same as mine. That disastrous 10 weeks of SM's tenure will take years to put right and will probably lead to a period of time in the lower echelons of the Football League.

How could this have been allowed to happen? Staggering.

Yup, I'm glad you can see it mate, even at the time it just didn't seem to add up. I remember Fray on Radio Nottm joking that "We had central midfield covered" - that's when I knew it was gonna come back to bite us in the arse. And when the "Cohen at left back" statement came out it rubber stamped it for me - our club was now being run by 3 numpty's instead of 2. It was like the anti-football planets aligning and the only thing stopping it from happening in the past was Mr Davies.

Let's just hope that the removal of all things Schteve McClaren helps bring out the old Forest a bit. Even tho McKenna and Earnie are gone, if Cotterill can bring in his own captain and Dex or Marlon can start banging a few in then we may survive.
