I expect they're probably being left for dead in the votes to be quite honest - it's really the context of the goals too
James' and Pobin Ran Versie's goals were what should really be expected of players in the World Cup on multiple millions of pounds per year - the goals scored there should all be superb and highlight why they are worth so much money. Roche's goal was on a much more local level and as such, compared with the amount of training and world class expert coaching the other two receive on a daily basis, her goal was something unbelievable and really quite special.

like I said - two goals coming from players with the world's best training facilities producing only what is expected of players that kind of wage versus an amateur player with probably no official training facility yet seriously out classing them all. FFS rodriguez's was only just a goal - great skill from the player obviously but I don't consider an 'in off the bar' goal to be better than a clean 'back of the net' goal

That Aussies volley goal at the World cup was better than Rodriguez's anyway

Whilst I agree with you Stephanie Roche should have won, I don't agree with the in off the bar statement. In off the bars always look better. It's been the best type of wonder strike goal you can score ever since they removed the stanchions from goals so you can no longer smash one in the the top corner that gets stuck there.
