I’d like to see a bit more of Reyna. No way is he starting but I think he looks good enough to get some 20-30 minute cameos. Get him ready in case we get some injuries.
Yeah, he looked good v Geordies. Guessing we wanted more physicality/a target when Taiwo went off and Origi replaced him over Reyna (who can play RW).

Thought we put this myth to bed last season.

The PL is extremely physical, probably the most physical league in the world, and more physical than it ever has been in the past.

Don't conflate "direct 442 hoofball" with physicality.
Sorry, physical in terms of contact. It's pretty close to being a non physical contact sport.

You get far more physical contact in the lower Leagues i.e. tackling is still allowed.

Did you watch our most recent game? Was a free for all at times.

Aside from them calling it soccer I find it most strange how it generally is a sport for the middle class out there.

USMNT, what a pretentious label for a start, reason enough to ignore anything associated with it.
Probably because the women's team was very well respected and famous back in the 90's (the days of Mia Hamm) and the men's team was an afterthought. The yanks among us will no doubt comment (when have they ever not commented on something?) but the impression has been that USA soccerball was more popular with women than men in the early days.

This is also evident in many of the current men's team, who were clearly inspired by the women of the 90s... Turner for one plays like a big girl.

Reyna is a very good player and needs to play more to show that.As far as the comments on American soccer fans(Yes I call it soccer deal with it,same damn thing) can be a bit overenthusiastic when it comes to our players but who cares?

Still not as arrogant as English fans who think the sun rises and sets with their players who they severely overrate also.

Keep on saying 'it's coming home' maybe by the time flying cars are a thing,England will have their trophy and that will be true.

AMERICAN IDIOT
…. but who cares?

Me because they’re being absolute ***** on Twitter about OUR club. I’m all about growing our talent across the seas, especially in Europe. But my issue comes along when these dickheads want to make sweeping statements about our squad and club that they never watched ever.

I see people on Twitter saying that Gio Reyna is our best player in the squad when realistically he’s not better than Morgan Gibbs white. I could say he’s not better than Elanga and I could say he’s not better than Callum Hudson Odoi currently.

They want to put blame on our defense for the issues that stem from Matt Turner‘s inability to be a soccer player when needed like passing the ball to him. They look at stats and automatically assume things from it and this is a plague from sports Twitter in general. I see it in NFL Twitter. I see it in NBA Twitter. Hell, I even see it in NHL Twitter.

Is Gio a good soccer player? yes, undoubtedly, but you can’t just start the man based on potential alone. He needs to be able to integrate with the squad first, understand each other‘s wavelength in training and then show himself during opportunities in game, that’s all he could do. If he expected to start immediately, then he’s the biggest fool on the planet.

I draw the line when they start shitting on our club that we love.

Nah, us Brits (and you Aussies), unlike the Shermans*, are educated and developed enough to be able to laugh at ourselves, and his post was very accurate about a very small part of the Sun-reading sect of our society.

* Although given their last two presidents have been Biff Tannen from Back To The Future 2 and a corpse, they might actually be pranking themselves these days.

There are already flying cars though, so I guess it is finally coming home this summer!

It doesn’t matter, because the Germans will win on penalties.

What's USMNT?
United States‘ Men’s Netball Team, I think?

It is the group for people who aren‘t tall enough to play Basketball.

I wanted to throw Reyna straight in but right now we can't drop CHO, MGW or Elanga. So he is staying on the bench.
Play MGW next to Dominguez with Reyna in front. That way the ball gets to MGW sooner & we attack with purpose quicker. That way you eliminate the are Danillo/Yates/Sangarre actually any good.

Thats assuming Reyna is the player we moved heaven & earth to acquire in January.

To avoid confusing Eddie, I shall provide the service of decoding my own acronym...

USAMNSFTCOTW: United States Of America Mens National Soccer Football Team Champions Of The World.

Because of course they are. You're welcome.

I await the arrival of over 50's white English male, playing their classic sport of pedantry, who will no doubt point out the error within my acronym. To you I say that was on purpose, because Americans, don't! Grammar correctly!
