Gazza' time coming to an end?

Whilst I wouldn't blame Roger Milford for Gazza's drink problem I would blame him for us not lifting the cup in '91. Also England could've won something in the 90's with a fully fit Gazza, so I blame Milford for this too. Just send him off for the Parker challenge and history is rewritten you silly twat

He needs to be in hospital, properly. I don't buy into this whole celebrity pals have paid for rehab, because we all knew that was a waste of money, rehab for celebrities is mostly a case of them going in just to save public face.

I'm afraid it's getting tiresome seeing the same headlines, if he doesn't want to help himself and can't even admit he has a problem then he's not only hurting himself but the people around him.

First step is realising you have a problem and then knowing and acknowledging he needs the help, which when you are in his position, may not be as obvious, as blatantly obvious a it seems.

Very true, however this isn't the first time he's sought help for this problem; every few months we get a 'new' story about him relapsing and being "close to death".

He needs to find the reason why he is so dependent on alcohol and deal with that. And looking at those pictures, he needs to do it quick. Looks like Glen Hoddle with 3rd degree burns in that first one.

Many members of this forum have managed to enjoy a few drinks now and again without aging themselves by about 50 years so they look like 90 year olds. I cannot help but feel that the root of his problem is that he is completely thick. Celebrity friends paid for him to have rehab, he was apparently close to death. Yet his reaction to being given this second chance is to scramble around on the floor looking for gin and fags.
I watched the 1991 final at home.

Beyond not being the brightest spoon in the box, it's clear he's got mental health issues. Booze/other substances are his ingrained way of coping. I don't think it's likely he'll ever overcome that.
