Barkley is our best young talent. I'd play him over Lallana all day long. 6 years younger, too.

Our best player by a mile IMO.

All this talk beforehand from the pundits of will he or won't he play in the World Cup. Amazed after the season he's had and now the 1st half he's had to day there's any doubt remaining. He has to play!

wtf happened to Glenn Hoddle?

He looks like he's eaten Roy Keane whole?

This argument always makes me laugh. Ask yourself why he doesn't play for Stoke.

Smalling and Cahill would be my first choice centre-halves. You'll struggle to find a quicker pairing in the whole tournament.

Wouldn't pick him personally. Don't rate him as good enough.

There aren't many good centre halves to pick from at the moment having said that I'd still stick with Jagielka and Cahill though from what we do have.

Jagielka's great when he's playing up field, but looking at the teams in our group, we need defenders with recovery pace once they've been turned. The minute you're in behind Jagielka, you're there until play stops.

Either side of Gerrard in the midfield 3?

Thing is, neither of them want to backtrack like Henderson does, so it's a risky move

For me, Gerrard owes a lot this season to Henderson doing his leg work. Henderson's one of the first names on the team sheet for me. Currently, I'd go:

Hart

Johnson
Baines
Smalling
Cahill

Gerrard
Henderson
Sterling

Lallana
Sturridge
Rooney

Very harsh on Barkley.

How do you fit Barkley and Sterling in the same team without dumping one of them out on the wing?

You just fit him in, Roy I am sure has his system and way he wants it to work but as far as I'm concerned he just has to be in that squad.

If that means no Sterling or as the pundits seem to think no Rooney then so be it. They aren't bad players to have there but as I said the lad is just ridiculously talented from what I've seen this past season and this half. It would be such a waste to not use it.

Smalling sells himself short a lot if you ask me. Might just be me thinking it seeing him in the terrible makeshift back line but he just doesn't do it for me. Centre back's a weak spot though as I said whoever we field IMO.

Indefensible to drop Sterling. Best English player in the league this season and perhaps the best teenager in the world. At this moment, he's a better player than Barkley, for me. One thing I do know is that it's nice to be having this discussion!

Oh no, we have too many ridiculously exciting, talented, creative teenagers who can run with the ball and score goals! What are we going to do?

Absolutely, isn't Sterling a wide player anyway? I don't know when I've watched Liverpool he's always played out wide. If so there's a means in which you can fit them both you'd think.

It's not a bad problem certainly I'm with you on that.

Ben Foster retired once. I wish we had taken somebody else.

If I didn't have the sound on, I would have had no idea who Flanagan was when he came on there. Would probably assumed he was the 12th man.
