I don't have any particular love for Vaughan, I was just pointing out that a player who was doing a job at Championship level is a good signing for a League Two side

I suppose I'm questioning the "doing a job" given that our midfield was the greatest weakness while he was playing. I think whatever it was he had before he came to us he managed to lose through his numerous injuries. I'm sure he is a good pro etc etc but I will only look back at his time with us as a complete waste of (a lot of) money.

I think it became clear last season that he was no longer good enough for the Championship and was rightly dropped when we brought in better

Yep. Age caught up with him but he was never a bad player for us.

Unlike the fans new favourite Fox, who has been here just as long as Vaughan, and very clearly downed tools under Pearce.

Extra shame too Vaughan got injured because he lost the extra acceleration over five yards he had at Sunderland and Blackpool when he was capable in the level above us.
