Always a reliable performer without being quite as influential as he was at Blackpool, when his game was more energetic.

Hope he finds himself a good club, I think he should move to League 1 now where he might still be able to control games.

Always had the football brain, unfortunately Father Time just caught up with him.

Great player on his day. Always gave his all. Hope he finds somewhere that will work for him.

David Vaughan was a very good operator on his day. A brilliant technical player with a brilliant passing ability wish he was a few years younger. Then we could of built a team around him. My mate played in the same youth teak as him at Abergele in North Wales.

Pity we didn’t sign him when he was part of that decent Crewse side in the mid 2000s.Very rarely let us down and I was one of his biggest fans.

But even I’ve got to admit his time has had to come to an end when we have seen younger legs in midfield with Colback,Watson and Bridcutt.

Sad to see him go.

I remember when I met Stuart Pearce at a services on the way home from a pretty abject display of his side, saying to him that I thought Vaughan was a class above when fit. He seemed a bit surprised I thought so highly of the wee man and replied that keeping him fit was the problem.

There's a great big hole in the squad now that needs filling...

First Gunter now Vaughan - need a new Welsh Forest player to cheer on!

Jeez. You’d think Neil Webb or even David Phillips had just left us. Words like ”Briliant”, “Reliable” and “Class” were meant for them not Vaughan. A man who was very much part of the reason we dropped every season, until this, the season he played less of a part.

Good riddance? Replace him? He doesn’t need replacing.

Depends what you mean by that! His physical consistency was that of a sandcastle if his injury record was anything to go by!

Decent footballer though, no doubt about it.

I mean whenever he played he made very few mistakes

I remember how good we were at the start of the season with him in the side, and once he was out injured we turned to sh*te.
Coincidence?

Injury prone and was part of a midfield that lost the battle most games.

Earned a lot out of us for little return, however when fit he was decent.

Gone to the Pies.

Great sigining for them if he can keep fit.

Loving the Pies thinking they've got someone special here. "drive the tempo we want" says Nolan. That'll be very, very slow then.

Last season we gave them Grant and Yates, this season they get Vaughan :)

Good signing for a L2 team.

He lives near Crewe, his wife has an interior business in Nantwich.
Does Zach Clough still live there too or has he moved out yet?

I'd say Vaughan is a cracking signing for that level, provided he can stay fit.

Definitely. Was still doing a job for us at Championship level this season remember.

The pies can be annoying with their boasting but it's a very good signing for them.

I'm amazed at the love this loser has amongst Forest fans. Been a key figure in our decline ever since he arrived. Thank God he's gone and I'm happy he's taking his over-sized pay packet to Meadow Lane.

I don't have any particular love for Vaughan, I was just pointing out that a player who was doing a job at Championship level is a good signing for a League Two side
