Cox is rubbish 2.5 mil wasted his finishing especially 1 on 1's was dreadful and offside so many times I lost count! High earner so glad to get him off the wage bill all in all a total flop and waste of money.

Mixed feelings about Cox.

Always thought he had it in him, like McGoldrick. Just needs to trim down, have confidence instilled, the right service and formation around him.

He'll flourish elsewhere.

That's the thing isn't it ? Why don't they flourish with us ? Why can't we get the best out of these players ? Coaching and environment must play a part.

The only place he's ever flourished is Swindon.

Never really played well the times I watched him. Striker who didn't score goals, not much involvement in build-up play and absolutely no idea where he was on the field of play, drifting offside for every through ball.

A great disappointment, expected more from a full international.

McGoldrick scored double figures for Southampton in a relegation side?

Cox has never really done the business at this level. McGoldrick has a bit more flair and can also play in other positions.

Yet every Southampton fan said 1 million was way too much for him.

Cox scored at least 8 goals last season didn't he? Probably a similar amount to McGoldrick in their relegation season.

Not so (as per usual). McGoldrick scored 14 goals in 50 games in the season that the Saints were relegated (to L1). Cox scored 14 goals in 78 games over the last two seasons at NFFC.

Cox has been a waste of a shirt. Simples!

Stats aren't really that important. despite your regular insistence. Fact is, Cox has had a similar time here to McGoldrick, and exactly the type to go elsewhere and bang in goals. He's struggled to find a position at Forest and West Brom, but once he does, and he has a stable team behind him, he'll do well.

It isn't as simple as "Cox has been a waste", it's important to look at why and learn from it. Which we never seem to do, hence the number of strikers that come and go without much of a fight.

You continue to make statements like you did and I quote "Cox scored at least 8 goals last season didn't he? Probably a similar amount to McGoldrick in their relegation season."

You were proved wrong AGAIN!

Simples! Facts are real unlike your twisted opinions that are so very often b*llocks!

I think it's worth pointing out that Cox was a very bright player for us in his first 3 or 4 months. After he got that ankle injury against Wolves he was never the same - it just about cut his 'pace' in half. I think his confidence took a knock because of that and it all came crashing down from there. No injury, different player. But that's not how it went down unfortunately

He started like a steam train. And it would had been unfair to expect him to carry on at the same pace.
The injury as it seem per usual at this club came at about the worst time for him. But as with Raddy I think it's best for both parties if there is a parting.

Cox has been dire

He came to score goals and he didn't. The amount of chances he fuked up in the first half of last season was embarrassing. Carries too much weight and simply isn't good enough.

Although him leaving as come at a poor time due to him telling us all on twitter he's going to score loads of goals this season. Unless Rochdale are buying him I doubt it very much mr cox

My guesstimations weren't nailed on correct. Fatal error, apologies.

The point is the same.
