I tend to agree from what I've seen from Cox. The sheer dislike of him is a bit of a mystery to me. He's a forward, definitely, but not that goalscoring striker. Playing him alone up front was the manager's choice, not Cox'.
I wish him the best for the future, except for two matches the coming season.

Back to the program - he just can't score enough it's as simple as that. It's not like he doesn't have chances(although he ought to create more with his movement)it's just that he misses them after running round like a mad head!- pretty much like Mackie but not down the wing

Not the one you chuck up front alone. He has workrate and some skill, and when I saw Cox play, I thought he'd be good in a more withdrawn role running at defences, rather than into offside.

Why has Cox be allowed to go? Surely he was still one of our best strikers? Was his contract due to expire at the end of the coming season? I saw highlights of a recent pre-friendly game and he did look rather overweight.
