Portuguese transfer window open until 22 September. I’d imagine that’s what his agent will be working on.

Cafu playing well

Thought Cafu looked comfortably our best player.
You've got to give credit to this guy. Outside the 25 man squad, only has a chance to play in cup games, plays in a friendly which is basically a training session, and still tries his best. A good professional and a family man, you should let him go in January; I'm sure he can find a good contract in the Championship.

Are we preventing a move?

Unless I'm mistaken, the list of 25 was decided after the window closed, or pretty close to that point. Also (like Lyle Taylor), he's been ever present at first-team training sessions to keep him involved as much as possible, which is a testament to his attitude. I'd be surprised if SC stood in his way if any offers come in during January.

He’s got a mentoring role for Scarpa to do first (as well as help get us to a cup final).

It's a pitty you did not let him go in January (or, rather, that he preferred to sit on his Premier contract). Six months is a lot of time for a 30-year-old. I hope he attracts interest from a Championship team. He has a family to raise, and I think he would prefer to stay at the UK.

Everything you want from a player really, gives everything he has on and off the pitch.

Bit of resentment to the club/Cooper by the sounds of it.

Victim of our quick progression I'm afraid. He could have gone last season because in my opinion he wasn't good enough for where we wanted to be in the Championship let alone the Prem.

Wish him well but didn't like that leaving statement.

After three years at the club I still don't know what his best role is, but I appreciate all his efforts when he did get game time. And that penalty, of course! Thanks Cafu, and all the best for the rest of your career.

Signed for Rotherham. Best of luck to the lad. All round good egg, had decent technical ability.
