[BUPA] Jadon Sancho

Might be a bit of a dick but was one of the best players in the Bundesliga for 3 years.

If Dortmund could get him playing at that level I don't see why Cooper couldn't.
^^^That.

I saw enough of him to know there is a player there. Form is temporary, class is permanent, as the old saying goes.

Man Utd bought him for nuts money then never put him on the pitch, damn right he’s pissed.

Come to Cooper Jadon, get that sparkle back in yer eye.

Plus CHO of course, and Danilo?

Obviously would love him here as he's top drawer when his head is right.

Not happening though.

Can you really say "not happening" after witnessing the last 18 months? Where we've seen several players with (relatively recent) Brazil, Argentina, and England caps join the club? Where we've got 4 current Internationals under contract - and that's just the goalkeepers?

I mean, I'm not saying it's likely. But we can't rule it out.

We have already used both of our loan slots, so this can't happen anyway unless that changes.

I could potentially see Tavares' deal becoming permanent in January though.

But I think that's the point. If there wasn't an asterisk next to him he would not be attainable for us.

Time & time again Cooper has taken players with an apparent attitude problem and made the claims look stupid.

The potential payoff will be worth the risk because he has world class potential.
You're not wrong but I don't think Sancho is down hard enough to drop to Forest yet. He could easily get a contract with one of the other big six, IMO.

I just think there would be about 7 clubs ahead of us in the queue and that's just in England.

I think his value is still a bit over what we can afford. Saying that, if things go well, we can hopefully pivot to buying one or two quality players a window.

Sure. But most of us would have thought the same thing about Sangare, or CHO, or Renan Lodi, or Keylor Navas, or Lingard (albeit that one didn't work out)
Lingard only didn't work out in the final yard on the pitch. Everywhere else he appears to have been a massive value add and almost a squad mentality coach for other players. If he's not moaning then no-one else can. Watching a star signing sit on the bench and being utterly positive and supportive was refreshing and I'll always have him in the money well spent column because of it. I think he played an understated part in us staying up just by being glue.
Bear in mind as well that MGW turned out to be the buy of the season and it could be argued that if he hadn't Lingard would have played more and maybe found form.

His wages are plain mental and I think a permanent transfer would be off the cards for a few years. Would love to see him, MGW and CHO in the same team under Cooper though. Imagine if they all found their top form and clicked - it would be so POWERFUL

Yeah but be careful what you wish for - the FA surely wouldn't take long to try to replicate it all under Cooper for England.

Cooper’s a young man blazing a trail through club football, can’t see him being interested in international management for at least a decade.

It’s other clubs we have to worry about. You know what though, he loves it here, we love him being here and if continues his trajectory I’m sure EM will pay him accordingly.

Long live the king!
