Reidy says he's on rehab from his operation four weeks ago. Operation?

Second groin operation mate. He had to have another as the original one didn't fix the problem.

I liked that interview. First time I've felt good about anything Forest related for a while.

Clearly we are a shitshow but it's nice to hear the other side of the coin from two blokes who love the club. Fawaz ain't a bad guy but we need structure now! It's clear DF wasn't good enough and the he has been on borrowed time

Reidy doesn't normally stutter as bad as that does he? So long since I have seen or heard him I can't remember.

Proper Forest lads though Cohen and Reidy.

I'm pretty sure with all the bullshit and bollocks Forest fans make up about the club and players they could write an episode of Hollyoaks.

"I think there is a desire there to deliver the kind of football that the fans want," said Reid. "It would be good to have a bit of a go in the final stages of the season; to go and press teams and get the ball back higher up the pitch.

"We want to play more attacking football; to get more men into the box and create more chances. If we can do that, we hope we can get more goals. The fans would like to see that and the players would like to play that way as well."

Reid has had a part to play in the team selection for the game against the Tigers – and is looking forward to being in the dugout.

"We have had meetings that I have been involved with, I have chatted with Paul (Williams) and Gary Brazil was involved as well. We have talked about how we should do things; we do have a plan," said Reid.

"I'll possibly be in the dugout and that is a path I would like to go down in the future, coaching. I have been doing my coaching badges and I am close to getting my A-license.

"It is nice to be back on the training pitch with the players and it will be nice to be involved in the game, in some capacity (at Hull)."

"I had another operation a month ago, so I am doing my rehab from that and we will have to see where it takes me," he said. "I have not ruled out coming back. But it will be difficult juggling everything we have to do.

"In the meantime, this is a positive for me to get hold of. It has put a smile back on my face, because I have been grumpy and miserable for 18 months.

"Just being involved is great. I am happy to do whatever I can do. I have a great affinity for this club and I will do whatever I can. I hope I will still have a really big smile on my face come the final whistle as we celebrate three points.

"It was nice to be back among the lads and they have not had me shouting and moaning at them for a while, so they will get some more of that.

"The training session was lively and we hope we have come up with a plan; a formula that can help us win the game. Everyone is very excited about it."

"The chairman told us that we are all in this together; he said that he takes responsibility for his part in the club and told us we have to take responsibility for playing our part," he added.

"It was a very positive meeting. Everyone left the meeting feeling as though we are pulling in the same direction.

"We are not looking downwards, we are looking upwards.

"When you looked around the room in the meeting this morning, I saw a group of players who should be able to compete with any team in the league.

"We need to produce a positive end to the season, to give us some momentum."

I watched an interview with him that the Irish FA did when he was doing his badges, and he comes across as a very intelligent person when it comes to the intricacies of the game. Whilst he may be have been, in his own words, a bit unprofessional in the past, he knows the game well, and has been known to be involved with the youth teams at the club, talking to the players about the mistakes he made when he was younger.

A proper Forest man in the dugout.

What's not to like? It seems clear now he's unlikely to play at the same level again so let's use his experience and love of the club for positives.

It would keep Stan Collymore quiet for a while as well.

Agreed, think he's took the proverbial tbh, but he'll be great with the youngsters.

Reid has clearly learnt from Billy Davies.

Jamie Mackie running around like a lunatic defending from the front, pushing teams backwards higher up the pitch.

That's when we forced teams into mistakes and looked positive, with midfield players able to push on and score goals.
