Linked with a move.

Would be a great signing in my opinion aslong as its not breaking the bank, bags of potential, young and could be an alternative to Brennan or replacement down the line.

Tidy and exciting prospect. I've liked the look of him on the few occasions I've seen him. If we could test the water at £10M with a loan back option that would be interesting as Brizzle are skint.

Zero chance he goes that cheap, think they turned down close to £20m in January. Think they wanted about £30m for him last time I read about it.

Guernsey lad, very good player (scored vs us in the promotion season, think it was that match), but can we have another who wears non-existent shin pads like Grealish and MGW do...

Would definitely have him because he has a lot of promise. A bit more of a CM type than Brennan would be though, so I'd expect he'd be competing for the 2/3 behind Morgan

I haven’t seen him play but I must admit his stats don’t seem to reflect the price they are asking for.

The LOB experience should be a warning to us. When we signed him he was referred to by many as one of the best MF in the Championship, but made little impression. He may come good, but could equally move on at a loss to the club. The same could very easily happen with Scott so I'd be very wary of spending big.

People I know absolutely rave about him but every time I've purposely sat down to watch him play he's been rubbish... I know he's a ball carrying 8/10 though and I'm not sure that's what we need this summer (at £20m+) feel like that's MGW's wheelhouse.

Probably too much of a risk at the price. Potentially high reward but he’d have a lot of proving to do to make him worth over £20m. Just as likely to turn out badly I’d say.

Scott is only 19 and wouldn't need to be registered for the 25 for a couple of years yet. In fairness he is probably on a similar level to O'Brien when we signed him and is a bit younger so has plenty more opportunity to get better before he does need to be registered.

It'd be where he'd sit alongside Morgan, Danilo, Freuler, Yates, Mangala, as the main players we have in similar positions.

After all people were saying things about Ryan Yates stepping up (and Morgan was a championship player too last season) and they both adapted fine.

Bristol probably can't hold out for silly money as it's only going to be a matter of time for him leaving because he's probably a PL player and though they have him under contract until 2025 that means they'll need to probably extend that next season or this because he'll likely have moved onto a higher level before then. It's a similar situation to us and Johnson except that Scott isn't even from the UK let alone local and they're showing no signs of a promotion challenge, so the only way he'll be able to get into the PL is to leave.

He's not particularly big but he's quite strong and gets stuck in, keeps the ball well, can run with it and pass well so plenty to work with.

We could sign him and loan him out to a promotion club next season to see how he gets on as he probably won't get regular appearances here but he is very young still. O'Brien somehow just didn't turn out to be what we were after, he is tidy but doesn't have any obvious strengths, is a bit older, and I guess he was one of those we signed with resale value along with potentially thinking of relegation and also that the likes of Leeds were sniffing around his release clause - and that we could get Toffolo with him as well.

A fair amount of the players who step up do make it and the younger ones are usually the most likely ones.

According to Brizzle fans he's better than MGW but has next to f*** all assists or goals- in the Championship.

I wouldn't break the bank for him..

Doesn't always tell the whole picture - Yates had f*** all of either for us in the PL but it was evident the difference between the midfield when he was in it compared to when Freuler was playing there.

He doesn't quite play as advanced as MGW so he's unlikely to have as many direct goal involvements. But if his ball winning/retention helps them control the midfield then he will be involved in their play at that level (similar to Yates).

Not to mention they're shit and he might possibly be teeing up chances all day but if the other players aren't scoring them or are not getting to them then they don't count as anything.

He's perhaps a bit too young to be around the national age group sides (plus he's not from England) when Cooper was there, but it'd be likely SC would know what attributes to look for in a young midfielder and if they are interested in this one they would already have plenty of data and watched him play enough to see what they're getting and how he fits into the plan.

Forest should make a big bid for Alex Turner from Arctic Monkeys?

I’ve read he’s a sensational front-man?

not even the same type of player to MGW, closer to Garner if anyone.

I know a lot of City fans, he is without doubt their biggest talent, they have made a habit to making huge profits on players in recent years.

They wouldn't sell for less than £20m-£25m IMO

I'd be happy if we signed him, has a huge ceiling and could be a future England regular.

They quoted a similar price for Semenyo and ended up selling him for £10m.

This kid is a good player but at £25m you could get an established international player or indeed better value like we did with our Brazilian Wonderkid.

Hes apparently on £4k a week which is obviously a good whack for a 19 year old but you can imagine that his agent will try to force something but I don't know who in the Premier league pays that sum for someone who it would be a risk to play.

Brighton would.

I would be surprised if we spent 20m+ on a player that wasn’t going to regularly feature for us. The not having to be registered part makes it more interesting though.

£25m is about what we'd pay to sign Brazil international, Atletico Madrid left back Renan Lodi. And possibly slightly more than what we'll pay for England international, Manchester United keeper Dean Henderson.

This Alex Scott lad might be worth a pop at around £10-12m or so, but I wouldn't go any higher than that. There's no guarantee that he'll continue to progress or step up to the Premier League, spending £20-25m on just 'potential' is a big, big risk for a club like us.
