Not that there is anything wrong with this, we now have more black players in our first team squad than white. Looking at first team profiles on website, we have 14 black and 13 white. Benelouane was a tricky one, if left him in the grey zone, it would be even. like I say nothing wrong with that just an observation.

They can be Yellow Brown Black White or Sky Blue Pink so long as they start fecking winning

For years you want Forest to have a black goalkeeper, then two turn up at once.

An observation it might be but it's a completely pointless one that comes across as slightly racist

So that's filled the squad position for someone to play just off the striker.

Wonder what's next...

Another pointless signing. Bomb squad in 6 months.

I can only assume you've seen this fella play a sufficient number of times to make that prediction?

And if you have made it on the strength of your own observations then you can console yourself in the knowledge that he'll only be in the 'bomb squad' for the remaining 6-months of his contract.

Nope it’s based on his CV
And yes I am glad we gave a 1 year contract. He was clearly in demand to accept that at his age..

His CV highlights Ligue 1 and international experience, whilst his contract length isn't unusual. Sammy Ameobi accepted a one-year deal.

He has played 18 games in Ligue 1.

I'm not sure what you expect mate? We already have the best goalkeeper in the Championship, so I very much doubt we'd be able to persuade a 'keeper with a 3-figure number of Ligue 1 appearances to his name to come here to compete for a place on the bench.

I suspect that someone amongst the French technical director, manager and gk-coach will have more knowledge of this lad's ability and personality than anyone on this forum in order to have sufficient belief that he can do a decent back-up job here if required.

I’m fine with Smith. Seeing as we have to live within FFP and we have other areas of the pitch badly in need of attention, this seems wholly unnecessary

He was told the rules are changing in the Championship and Sabri will be playing two in goal to bolster up the defence
