My Olympiacos comment wasn't aimed at the Silva sale(who clearly wanted to leave and I didn't rate him anyway).
It was an opinion that Mr.Marinakis has probably taken his eye off the ball at Forest-I accept he has little to
do with the day to day running of the club, but if I were putting in around £10 million a year into the club
I would be asking my senior staff why we were bottom of the Championship.

Completely right Cloughie, although sadly 10M a year is the price of entry to the disco these days....
Its beyond me why anyone wants to own a football club...

Having watched the vid at the beginning, the first thing he does is kick the ball pass an opposition player into a net thing that i don't understand. What is this?

But in all seriousness, Hughton will put a stop to that kind of behaviour.

Once you've got a superyacht, a Learjet, a trophy wife, a stable full of Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Aston Martins, Bugattis et al, all you need is a Premier League club to complete the set.

Funny. isn't it because if I had all those the last thing I would buy is premier league club, let alone a Championship basket case club...

I've heard from a reliable source that our owners have been putting in £2.5m a month to keep us going. £30 million is an expensive season ticket for a team that is bottom of the table. My fear is that they will be tempted to pull the plug and we will be in a DCFC situation.

Heinz Tomato Ketchup is the only reliable sauce I believe in.

that wouldn't be groundbreaking news, most clubs at this level run at a loss and are reliant on rich owners to cover their losses, I don't think its at the 30 million per year level, because FFP only allows us to lose 45 million over 3 years and we havent broken any FFP rules under the new owners that I know about

I don’t think it’s total losses for FFP though is it? I think they only count in scope losses e.g. the academy doesn’t count in FFP calculations but EM will still have to fund it at 3-5m a year now we’re cat 1

£30m losses is too steep. Our wage bill hovers around £27m, academy is about £3m and everything else usually tots up to about £10m.

So, for us to be losing £30m a year that means revenues of only £10m last season, which would be a 60% drop in revenue on the previous season. Seems too much even during COVID no-fans season.

We usually run at a loss of £12m or so. The quickest way to cut that is to stop carrying a double figure bomb squad every season. The club has the means with our large fan base to be self-sufficient if it wants to be.

Academy doesn't count, nor does infrastructure investment like a new stand...

Doesn't sound like he wants to come here, which is a huge shame. Hopefully we have other midfield targets we can move onto.
