Forest dominate: "it's preseason and meaningless. We should've scored 10 against that lot. Play like that in the league and we'll get relegated by January".

First win a tight game: "only preseason but should've scored 10. All our players are bobbins. Play like that in the league and we'll be relegated by January."

Forest lose in any fashion: "we're only 4 weeks out and that's what Cooper puts out? Our whole squad is simply not good enough and none of them have any value. If you can't get up for a preseason game against local rivals then you can't get up for any game. Play like that and we'll be relegated by November".

Notts game was a bit of a snorefest if I'm honest but a nice occasion for fans of both teams to come together as well as a tribute of sorts for the Nottingham murders.

First half, we were pretty devoid of any real quality. Mangala looked up for it, Awoniyi had some moments but that was about it.
Second half was better. Thought Aguilera and Hwang acquitted themselves well even if they likely have no future here.

Hard to really have any meaningful opinion on friendlies at the best of times if I'm honest, but considering this was the first one and the level of opposition, hard to really say anything of value.

That said, after the Notts game last year, I knew Taylor/Ojeda/Laryea wouldn't get anywhere near the first team for us and would get bombed out. I'd say the same goes for Bowler and now for Mighten as well. They have very small windows of opportunity to try and force a rethink.

No Brennan but to be honest, if MGW didn't go to the U21 Euros with England, he wouldn't have played either. We were missing quite a few first teamers so it's not really much of a shock.

Try A Little Tenderness
Good showings from Donnelly, Hwang, Bowler and Taylor could help them attract decent domestic loan opportunities.

More especially Aguilera, which could ultimately benefit both him and us if he can secure a Championship loan.

Incidentally on the matter of Shelvey, according to the chaps behind me he kicked off last night at the presentation and was asked to leave.

He is being allowed to train, but not with the squad.
He will never wear the Garibaldi Red again.
Christ, even the Saudi's don't want him.

Preseason is simply about getting fitness levels up and a lot of the time, some fringe guys a chance to impress. Taking a lot of negatives or positives from it is a moot point most of the time. And hey, a win is a win!

You would be far better listening to the advise of an actual supporter, you know. someone thats actially been to a Forest game in their lives.

Internet twerps will teach you nothing.
