He doesn't put any money in I am pretty sure.

As GBG says he is only involved if an issue with EM's ownership arises like getting into Europe.
and you have to consider that Kominakis has a small share since day 1. which means that the EM's goals for NFFC were high since day 1. he didn't come there just for fun or making money. He may fail but the intentions were pretty obvious from the beginning for those that know how he does things in his life

As a Villa fan who lived in Notts for a few years, i have always watched you guys closely.

Gotta say, i have been super impressed with your transfer business so far, if you can add Willliams and Richards to that it will look even better.

Really intelligent transfer business imo (for what its worth lol)!
Always interesting to get views from outside our little bubble.

I think we are doing the business which will allow us to hold our own against the likes of Villa and really anyone outside that top 4.

Fascinating season ahead for many reasons.

What i will say, is dont get too carried away.

I remember when Villa came back up 3 years ago and we signed a lot of players, a lot of us wrongly (very wrongly) believed we could go for top half and give all the teams outside the top 4 a run for their money, unfortunately we were nowhere near and survived by the skin of our teeth, it was a brutal season.

I know Villa arent Forest, and i think on face value your promotion transfer window looks better than ours did so far, in hindsight.

One thing i have definitely noticed since we came back up, is every game is a fight, even the mid table teams are a real challenge, any of them on their day can cause problems for most other teams in the league.

I hope you do well, from a neutral perspective i think your business is very good, which i hope plays out on the pitch for you, but honestly, no way will you be able to go toe to toe with every team outside the top 4, yeah you may win some and lose some, but also be realistic, the PL is tough as nails, tbh i think its tougher than its ever been, its not even a "big 4" now, tbh its a "big 6", then a few teams squabbling over 7th to 10th.

That aside, i think you will either stay up due to a number of very intelligent signings (this is my belief - looking at what you have done so far, and if the intelligent purchases continue), or, even if you do go down, i think enough of your signings will prove good enough to be a really, really strong team to bounce straight back.

Dont take what i say negatively, im just trying to be realistic (in a way Villa most fans werent when we came back up lol), i do think you have a great chance of staying up.

Thanks for the comments - nothing negative about them at all, as you say its a very realistic position and you have the benefit of experience of being a recently promoted side. In general I think we're a very level headed bunch here and after 23 years of pain we can't help but be happy to be back (where we belong) and the signings we've made look to be very balanced and most definitely a cut above anything we've signed in the past 23 years so of course we're going to be very "enthusiastic" but thanks for your counsel.

100% you guys deserve to be super excited, defo not trying to take that away! :)

I really hope you do stay up, Forest belong in the PL, one of the few true great historic English clubs imo (Manure (yuk), Liverpool, Villa, Forest, in my humble opinion)

Best of luck!

I think you've misunderstand my take on things.

I 100% expect next season to be tough and anything above 17th should be seen as a successful season. I was in no way suggesting we are better than or should be expected to beat anyone outside the top 4, I was only suggesting we should be able to give any of the other 16 a decent game.

Every game starts 0-0 and I know they weren't full strength but we only lost 1-0 to the team finishing 2nd to a very marginal offside goal.

Anything can happen even though a lot of matches do end up going to form. We do have some good players and may cause the odd stir.

Mail suggesting we went in for Cornet from Burnley:

"However, the Reds have been rebuffed in an approach for Burnley's Maxwel Cornet but remain interested in Southampton striker Che Adams."

Cracking post and not negative at all.

Pretty much sums up where I am, as well. We are doing smart business, improving the squad significantly but it's still going to be a fight week in, week out and first target simply has to be to scrape together enough points to stay up.

Fantastic to see some outside validation that our signings appear to be good, too. Always get worried we are all in our little echo chambers convincing ourselves that we have signed quality.

I can’t believe that I am seeing Forest mentioned regularly in the venerable Kicker.

Today could realistically be a quadruple announcement day with the wing backs and potentially the Huddersfield boys coming in. It’s like an alternate universe!

Not sure I believe either of those.

It’s weird. We’re a month out and with the wingbacks in, we’ll be at 6 signings and it still only feels like we are half done.

Not expecting another 6 after these, but it wouldn’t even surprise me with the amazing investment we are getting

I'm still here Crewton
Really excited about the quality of signings and good to see we should be ready when the season starts and not messing about as the window shuts. A decent start is a must in the quest for 40 points.
The only downside is watching the promotion team being dismantled, which is a bit sad but it just shows how much of a gap we've got to bridge.

We still have a Prem loan slot left, I imagine that’ll be used closer to the end of the window.

That could be anybody.
I think that's being saved in the backpocket for when transfer dealings are being wrapped up and teams have some real, real quality left with no game time for them.

Got to think that given what we did with Garner, Spence and Davis that teams will be queuing up to send us their talent at that point and we could get a real game changer.

Most likely. The big clubs will probably have more or less finished their transfer business by then, so more options for a loan signing should become available.

Whoever processed the forest logo missed out the solid areas within the o and e, which are white rather than transparent - think it would probably have been better to keep the background. But I digress…
And to think I got called a pedant earlier this week. Fully agree with you by the way.

Normally the Forest media lot give us a nice 'Good morning reds' on Twitter. I hope they are busy with something else right now :p
