Ive read this 5 times & still its not going in.

To make it simple, Cooper will prove the squad is good enough after all and the criticism of it being a piss poor squad will look like an excuse to pass on Hughton's failings.

Those who have died on that altar, seeing the squad is capable, will instead turn their criticism to something else instead to continue their long drawn out death. Maybe saying the players didn't care, or further down the line question marks over the board not backing Hughton enough.

Mood = cautiously optimistic.

But I was in that mood when Hughton was appointed, so we'll see.

My initial optimism at the Hughton appointment and how it actually panned out has left me cautious about getting excited

Althogh from what I've read Cooper does seem a better fit for the players we have and the CEO's philosophy than CH was when he joined

Just need another club to get whacked with a points deduction and we'll be out the bottom three before Cooper's taken his first game. He really is that good.

Let's assume for a second that Reading and Derby's points deductions are a given that makes us third bottom - Hull are one point better of than we are and on the same DF, they face Stoke next, who are currently fifth. So a loss or a draw for them and a win for us and we're out of the relegation places.... win by a couple and we could also overtake Peterborough if they lose.

This could also put us level with Swansea ... irony and football a match made in heaven

Are we finally seeing the start of some joined up thinking?

Been looking to use that phrase for a while with regards to Forest but the opportunity hadn't arisen.

As others have said cautiously optimistic. Really thought Hughton was the man to finally get the club moving In the right direction this time last year but you live and learn.

The Mood?

Not quite as uplifted as when I get one of those texts from Claudia Schiffer, but I’d say where Forest are concerned, cautiously optimistic.

A proven Head Coach has come in, but this time, it seems the club is also reorganising itself - finally - in a more modern, focussed, way.

So, we shall see…

f*** all because its most boring town in the world
You're not wrong. The place is boring, the people are boring, the football club is boring. Even the word boring isn't boring enough to describe it.

Somebody once asked me to describe Reading, but I fell asleep before I could finish the sentence.

Funny that, 'cos Claudia keeps texting me saying that Strummer's phone must be turned off.

You get a bit seasoned to the false new dawns at Forest don’t you? My mood will change when the performances and league position changes, until then it’s just another appointment in a long list of them.
