axe to grind
I met the future Mrs B when in Reading. One of our first 'dates' was when I took her to see Forest play Reading at the Madejski.
I say steady on there - we Windsorfolk take exception to that!!!
The only thing Slough is noted for is benag name-checked by Paul Weller in The Eton Rifles.
Wernam Hogg, but even that was fictional. The only thing Slough is noted for is being name-checked by Paul Weller in The Eton Rifles.
I wasn't including the whole of Berkshire in that
I have family who lived in Maidenhead and that's one of the most depressing places I've ever visited
…..but then I'm from Bulwell which should be twinned with Chernobyl

To make it simple, Cooper will prove the squad is good enough after all and the criticism of it being a piss poor squad will look like an excuse to pass on Hughton's failings.
Those who have died on that altar, seeing the squad is capable, will instead turn their criticism to something else instead to continue their long drawn out death. Maybe saying the players didn't care, or further down the line question marks over the board not backing Hughton enough.

I had sickness and diarrhea in the hiotel toilets at the Madjewski Stadium... start of a really bad case of compilabacter that left me hospitalised for 3 days.
Nice to get a lucky goal for a change too!
Today wasn't much different to every other home match this season.Despite it not being the greatest game in terms of quality, having 4pts from 6 after the start we've had, plus seeing the team actually having a go, has definitely lifted a lot of the drudge which the last 2 years has brought. :nottsflag:

Against Boro we had 15 shots, 6 on target, and 6 corners from 59% possession. Today we had 10 shots, 3 on target and 3 corners from 56% possession. But today we 'had a go' apparently, whereas we didn't in the previous matches. Apparently.
Not just singling you out Alf, because I've heard others pretend to themselves that today was somehow significantly different, but it shows most people don't really pay much attention to what actually happens on the pitch.
Yes, I'm happy with that. The big difference was a lucky, I mean, wonder goal out of nothing. The big difference was that we actually got a point though mate. arty:

Really Ravi?
I thought we posed a much better goal threat than we have in any game this season by some distance. Shots on target aside.
There was no killer instinct today, but we constantly got in dangerous areas and caused Millwall problems all game with our counter attacking. If that continues we will win games.
I tend to agree, we didn't force the goalie to make any saves, we scored from a fluke and the defence didn't gift them a goal.Today wasn't much different to every other home match this season.

Just thought we constantly got into dangerous positions that we previously hadn't. We attacked with pace and numbers.
I agree the lack of good chances were there but if we continue attacking like we did today the chances and goals will come.
It was a way better game than we have been served up with so far this season.
