wednesday evening will define our trigger moves on suppliers. We will know if we have the johnson money and sangare will have played his last game for PSV.
Don’t bet on it. Levy will want to negotiate until 10.59pm on Thursday.

🤦‍♂️Friday of course - but the principle still stands.

Deadline day is actually 11pm on Friday 1st September this year, so Levy being a knob until 10:59pm or 11:01pm on Thursday would actually still give us around 24 hours to sign a replacement (not a great scenario either, but still).

These processes are well underway before they're reported though. It's not as if Brennan is on the Spurs website at 10:01 and our search for a new winger begins at 10:02.

We're probably already in 'advanced talks' with his replacement (Hudson-Odoi?) and may even announce that before Johnson has officially gone.

My concern is that I felt we needed more in attacking positions, both in depth and quality, at the end of last season and we've let/are letting go 4 attackers (albeit all not good enough) and only brought one in. We're already light there with Johnson so a straight replacement in CHO changes very little. We still need at least 1 more attacking player before Friday night and we just seem to be linked with defenders and midfielders.

Hopefully we pull something out the bag because if Taiwo gets injured we're f**ked at the moment.

Evening everyone, here’s a short 2-minute video detailing everything you need to know about Wilfred Ndidi for those interested. While he’s been plagued by injuries and poor form in recent times, he’s still only 26, and there’s no reason he can’t get back to the level which saw him linked with moves to the likes of Man United and Real Madrid a couple of years ago. As always, I hope you find this useful, and I’d be happy to answer any questions you may have, cheers and have a good one!

Lots of options in this new look midfield. Could allow us to play a 2 or a 3.

Ndidi
Dominguez
Danilo
Santos
Mangala
Yates
Aguilera

Means we'll need to sell Frueler, Kouyate and O'Brien to make room, and ideally get rid of Shelvey and Arter if possible.

He was certainly decent in the past; he’s not the first to have completely lost form when playing in a mediocre, struggling, side.

Meltdown in 3... 2... 1...

Personally I'm not opposed to this move if it happens. Still young enough to rediscover his form from a few years ago, and if he does we have a decent player on our hands.
South American 20 year olds that have never been tested? Yes please, top half finish incoming

PL proven experienced players? Boring, relegation incoming

Same with the people complaining about Batshuayi. I like seeing the club signing exciting young talent as much as anyone, but there's definitely a place for decent experience Premier League players in our squad (like Boly and Aurier last season).

Ndidi may not be as exciting as Sangare or Fofana, but that doesn't mean he's going to be shit either.

Freuler will be going to Bologna if Dominguez comes in it seems. I reckon Kouyate will go to Saudi Arabia, and LOB has plenty of Championship interest so I expect a late deal from someone (probably Leeds) for him.

Of course it's all about balance but PL experience is a vital component, this division is incomparable to any other division in the world. Having players in the squad that have been around the block and reached the required levels of this division is an absolute must, just look at the impact Aurier had last season for example

Obviously you need to balance it with the development of young prospects but the back bone will always be experience. Once you have an established side it becomes much easier to drip feed young talent in
