and Arter if possible.
More chance of solving the Fermi Paradox than offloading Arter.
and Arter if possible.
Quite frankly, Harry wouldn't attract any interest even if we settled every penny of his contract and he decided to come out of retirement.Means we'll need to sell Frueler, Kouyate and O'Brien to make room, and ideally get rid of Shelvey and Arter if possible.
I have to say, I’d sign up for that!At the moment he gets somewhere to go every morning with access to top-of-the-range gym equipment, a kick-about with academy kids and a freshly-cooked, nutricious meal before he fucks-off home for the rest of the day. A nice life if you can get it.

It must be so embarrassing being a bomb squaded player hanging around the training ground like a bad smell. The other players must think he's a joke.Does Arter even train with us now ?
Don't think so we aren't dealing with the school yard here. I suspect they fully understand that some times things don't work out and of course it may happen to them one day.It must be so embarrassing being a bomb squaded player hanging around the training ground like a bad smell. Not to mention £40k per week. I’d kill for that life
So even just ignoring all the money he's already had from us to date - he'll be paid somewhere around a million quid after tax just between now and the end of the contract. I think he'll live down the embarrassment. It must be so embarrassing being a bomb squaded player hanging around the training ground like a bad smell. The other players must think he's a joke.
If he's actually earning 40K a week just to train and go home I'd say he's the one laughingIt must be so embarrassing being a bomb squaded player hanging around the training ground like a bad smell. The other players must think he's a joke.

That reminds me a bit of the famous story George Best used to tell, where he was in a Hotel room, with a naked Miss World in bed, bottles of champagne everywhere and a few grand in cash scattered around, and the room-service guy comes in and says:Of course if we were all given the chance to basically just chill and take home tens of thousands of pounds a week we'd love it but there must be a part of him that regrets the way it's turned out.
That will come later in lifeOf course if we were all given the chance to basically just chill and take home tens of thousands of pounds a week we'd love it but there must be a part of him that regrets the way it's turned out.
When he's dying and he realises he still hasn't spent it all ?That will come later in life
You think rich people don't feel embarrassment? Especially from other, richer people, who are doing better professionally than they are?So even just ignoring all the money he's already had from us to date - he'll be paid somewhere around a million quid after tax just between now and the end of the contract. Sure. But any discomfort will soon ease knowing he - and his entire family - are more than set for life. You think rich people don't feel embarrassment? Especially from other, richer people, who are doing better professionally than they are?
I'm sure Arter is doing just fine, but I'm sure he's also uncomfortable around the playing squad.
Probably has a built in one year extensionWhen he's dying and he realises he still hasn't spent it all ?
I suppose it depends on a person's values and work ethic. I willingly accept I'm possibly being unfair by digging-out Arter without any knowlege of his personal or family circumstances, but there have been, and certainly still will be, players who take pride in their professionalism and will do anything to play football somewhere, even at a significant (from the point-of-view of the average working man) financial loss.I think with Arter it's the fact he's had a couple of loan spells, including one in non-league and was a disgrace. Overweight, unfit and not interested.
He's still getting the same money whether it's fully covered by us or not so you'd think for his own pride he'd want to go out and just play a bit of football. You're a long time retired.
Of course if we were all given the chance to basically just chill and take home tens of thousands of pounds a week we'd love it but there must be a part of him that regrets the way it's turned out.
We should have done a deal with hime to end his contract.Any players in the first team earning less than him must absolutely resent the guy, like Worrall and Yates.
Surely at some point over the last year or two Arter has had the opportunity to go and play football somewhere. He'll never lose out financially as Forest have committed to his contract. If he was allowed to go to Notts for example in L2 we'd either have to pay him up or cover a vast majority of his wage.I suppose it depends on a person's values and work ethic.
