just found this article - http://footballleagueworld.co.uk/wigan-keen-on-nottm-forest-duo718/

here it is with my own added annotation

Wigan keen on Lansbury and Mackie (you can have one of them - guess which one?)

Wigan Athletic are linked with a move for Nottingham Forest duo Henri Lansbury (ain't happenin)and Jamie Mackie,(ok by me - how soon's good for you?) according to the Daily Mail (probably bullshit then).

Lansbury has been attracting interest from Fulham (ain't happenin) in recent weeks but Forest denied any approach had been made for the midfielder last month.

New Forest boss Stuart Pearce (love hearin that...PSYCHO!!)has said recently his top players will not be sold as interest increases in goalkeeper Karl Darlow and defender Jamall Lascelles (In other words, take Mackie and get f**ked if you think you're getting Lansbury).

Mackie’s future at the City Ground is under question (the question being how soon and how much?)as the club have signed two strikers this summer in Matty Fryatt (oh yeah bitches!) and Lars Veldwijk(read it and weep!).

The 28-year-old joined the club last summer from Queens Park Rangers for a fee believed to be £1 million and scored five goals (out of about 600 shots - 500 of which ended up in the upper tier of the stands and about 30 cleared the stand altogether and ended up in the car park) in 48 appearances last season (wow! that few - seems like like hundreds the way he plays).

Lansbury joined Forest in August 2012 from Arsenal (losers) for a fee believed to be in excess of £1 million (and worth every penny I might add)and has gone on to score 12 goals in 61 games for the club.

The 23-year-old former England Under-21 international has two years left on his current deal but Pearce revealed ten days ago that there were talks last season over a new contract but an agreement was never reached (doesn't mean it won't so don't start wanking yet Wigan, he ain't going anywhere).

though hes probably overpaid, i think your being harsh on mackie, hes not the most skillful player in the world, but if all our players had his passion and work rate, we would be very well off

Not bothered about Mackie going. Was a bit of a dick last season. All action but no quality.
Lansbury needs to stay for us and him. Work hard and get a new contract.

I'd actually like to keep both, but Mackie still has to prove his worth, whereas I'm convinced of Henri's greatness. So Wigan can go and fook themselves.

Fucks sake, don't sell Mackie!! He's one of our most passionate and energetic players we have. I think I must be seeing things in him that nobody else is able to, because 9 times out of 10 he's in the top 3 players of any match he plays in.

We've been down this road before and I don't think I'll ever understand why people don't rate Mackie, but if we lost him we'd certainly pay the price and you'd all see how much his contribution to the team would be missed.

We should be keeping both, although I think Mackie is more replaceable. But his work rate and pressing are useful. With Fryatt and Lars in the team, Mackie is the kind of player that causes defenders to make the type of mistakes that we can capitalise on.

I think I must have blinked and missed it - exactly what did Mackie do in this goal celebration?

I don't think he's often in the top three performers but he has a role at the club if he knuckles down next year and is guided correctly under Pearce. That role is probably nothing more than a super sub if I were to be choosing, but it'd be good to have his energy up top to utilise.

That being said, if Wigan want to pay us £2m, then they're welcome to him.

TBH it shouldn't be that hard to go on to youtube and look up Jamie Mackie Goals 2013/2014, there can't be that many results? ;)

I would look but am at work
