Good squad player but wouldn't start in my first 11. Does lots of things well but not really anything great
Surely thats enough to get in our current midfield.

Exactly this. It's something a lot of supporters don't notice.
Is that a joke? Lad's played 3 full seasons
In a team that only avoided relegation on the last day.Benny must be thankful that he didn't do worse than create the 2nd-highest number of goalscoring chances in the Championship last season.
I can't imagine the added criticism he'd receive from some were that the case.
He had 7 assists, so lets tell it like it is, joint 18th highest shared with 12 other players....
I still find it remarkable that's still about the only freekick outside the box I have seen him take in a red shirt.
He can't be blamed for others not putting away all of the other chances he created.
Every day Osborn is in the side is a day we won't be in the Premier.
In the right side I belive he would actually be shown to be top drawer. Would've been relegated last season if his spot had been taken by a player on par with the rest of the team.Benny is a prime example of a player who epitomizes where we are, and the approach we have to take.
He's obvious qualities which we lack elsewhere and, whilst not a top drawer player, in the right side he'll play a vital part in progessing us.
We ain't getting someone with his qualities for a cheap price any tine soon, and doing things "professionally" and on the cheap is not only our current modus operandi (as it was under Pedro), but it's also what most fans asked for too.
The day we're better than Benny is the day the squad alone are all genuine Prem contenders. So no time soon.
defensively , benny is garbage. Gives the impression of doing a lot of running without doing much of anything at least defensively , doesn't tackle , defend or block enough. Has specialised in using the tactic of eye power to defend.
using squakwa stats from last season and using the 2 players linked to us (luong and macdonald plus irvine)

Central midfield, I thought he did well at left wing back under Warbs as well.
Don't like him on the left of a front 3 though.
He could become a very good left wingback. I'll concur with that.
