We Are Premier League

I know this is sacrelage now as well but I think the League should be expanded back to 24 teams or 22. The players are paid a fortune now an I would rather they trained less and played more.

The major thing I am going to miss from the championship is the extra games. I understand peoples concerns of quality but to be honest I just enjoy watching Forest play football and if footballers are on 60k a week I personally dont feel its out of order to expect more footy.

Agreed.

Seventh place gets a trip to Europe these days. That might be worth a punt. Dafter things have happened.

Honestly European Conference league and the Nations League by UEFA are actually fantastic ideas in my view. The nations league is providing competitive national footy instead of stupid friendlies.

Conference league is providing european competition for more clubs and minor competition in Europe I thinks its great. Yeah it may not be what the top 8 clubs in England want but it is democratizing.

I've watched it twice! Every time it gets me

It just makes you so proud!

I think I may have overdone it with how many celebration clips I’ve sent to non-Forest people I know. Ah well serves em right.

I think there will be plenty to miss from the Championship. More honesty from players, more chance of winning games and not being obliterated by a lot of sides, more chance of getting tickets, no fair weather or tourist supporters, no VAR...

Saying that it'll be nice to just sample the Premier League even if it's just for one year.

There's so much Forest content all of a sudden

Just endless hours reading news, watching videos. Been starved of media attention for years.

Face bill is full of it

So we now have lots of people from all over the world looking at is

Have the mods seen a spike in traffic over the last few days ?

Watched too many videos of the immediate aftermath of full time.

The 'drop' in Freed From Desire is up there with my favourite Forest experiences ever. 23 years of everything getting unleashed by the fans.

Yeah that song hasn’t left my head since it happened. I’ve got a 20 second video clip of it at its peak. Can’t stop playing it back.

The amount of new threads has increased considerably, as has the number of members returning to the forum from the dead in the manner of Lazarus.

Since the weekend, I’ve seen roughly double the number of new threads each day, and considerably higher numbers of members accessing them.

It’s all a bit Field of Dreams currently.

I‘m sure StuC can provide some hard figures if needed!

Interesting point.. I've noticed we've gained nearly 40,000 more followers on Twitter since promotion.

Just don't like seeing people waste their money!

Someone earlier said top 7 is European football, might be a decent bet if odds are still very high to pump for that instead. Highly unlikely, but at least possible.

Just little things about being in the Premier League to me that make you love it.

City Ground will be in the next FIFA, we will be in Fantasy PL, Panini stiker books, match of the day. Just little pointless stuff that just put Forest at the front of stuff I do and make them more enjoyable.

As far as I can recall, the top flight has never been 24 teams-although I agree about missing the extra games.
In my opinion, the reduced 20 club top tier is to ensure the top clubs can compete in the European circus-indeed,
I think UEFA would prefer an 18 club Premier League.

I think 24 teams is too many anyway.

20 is the sweet spot if you include cups as well. There is too many games in the Championship, always has been.

Although they're stopping makingg Fifa games and panini sticker books will no longer exist from next season I believe.

Yes but this is a big club and it should be going up against other big clubs.

Psycho, Nigel, Des, Roy Keane to name a few were never scared of that and never took a step back. Why should we now. Bring 'em on.

This is effectively Steve Cooper's first real transfer window where he can plan as he wants to, and with a substantially better financial position. You never know, it might just click again and we are actually pushing for a top half finish.

Stranger things have happened.

After getting promoted from being bottom after seven games my only belief is anything can happen.

We tend to look at the prem as the top six , not all teams are as good as them and plenty will be there for the taking, as long as we pick up more points than the bottom three in the first season then I will be delighted.

Panini only signed a new agreement with the Premier League in November 2021, for cards and stickers. Panini lost the rights from UEFA to the next Euros, but they’ve still got the Premier League. It’s a shame if they are stopping though.

Just endless hours reading news, watching videos. Been starved of media attention for years.

We even got a mention on the One Show last night “prices are going up quicker than Nottingham Forest”. Probably playing up to JJ who I believe was at Wembley on Sunday.

What really brings it home to me is seeing videos from New York of a pub absolutely rammed with red shirts watching the final. Also Chicago had quite a few too.
