Good luck to him. Looks a good move, more opportunity to play, in his preferred position, and Coventry on the up. Could be a good place to play next season, less expectation, the feel good team of the Championship, at least for a few months. Hope it works out for him there as well as it did McGoldrick.

Didn't read anything into his performance against Charlton, he was thrown in with a half a team of the reserves who hadn't even played together. That one was doomed from kick off.

He has scored goals in League One already, it's hard to believe he won't go on to be at least a regular goalscorer at Championship level. But probably needs to go somewhere else to get there, rather than waiting for what is somewhat understandable limited opportunity playing at a club where the manager is under constant threat of the boot unless he delivers promotion. If Forest spend another decade in the same league, we're sure to be wishing we had him at some point.

It's a few years since he scored at Brentfica now - the one highlight of Freedman's tenure. The right time to move on. At nearly twenty four, he needs to play regularly. And his Dad was Superman, so another reason for wanting Coventry to do well. That, the return from the brink, and the retro Hummel kits.

Good to see he's hit the ground running. Buys him a bit of time to bed in.

Last season up to Christmas he was 1 goal behind toney and his just gone for 10million. He should have been given a run but at this stage next season dont think we would be taking that risk so best for parties

I think it's the best for all parties.

He never quite made an impact here - albeit in limited opportunities. Sabri seemingly didn't put much faith into him.

I don't think there's any issues over his effort from everything seen and heard about him.

I think he just needs time and a lot more playing opportunities. He'll score goals at Coventry. They will hopefully make him their main man and he'll reward them for it. But he was never going to get the opportunity to do that here with Grabban and Taylor in front of him - Da Costa comparisons are pointless. But that playing time is the only way he's going to get better, so it just makes sense.

We've got a fee for him, and hopefully a sell-on.

So you're essentially saying that you would have approved of Grabban being dropped to accommodate him when he was recalled? Interesting.

Probably not but do think he should not have started over grabbon but Probably used more as a sub atleast. The fact that he was comparable to toner last season shows he is good, with Taylor aswell doubt he was going to get game time this season so as I said best for both parties he finds a club where he is a regular starter

One of the few players at Forest who's been sold that:
1) Hasn't mugged off the club collecting wages for being shit
2) Hasn't been sold off early in his career without seeing what he could do here
3) Was never part of a bomb squad
4) Wasn't sold at a loss
5) Hasn't cost the club a fortune in wages
6) Whose transfer hasn't really caused a meltdown or a "good riddance" type response.

Feels like a natural time for his Forest career to come to a close. I think he'll do OK at Coventry, best of luck to both player and his new club.

Well put

Wont stop the shouldn't have sold him posts every time he scores though.

When he and Lolley attacked that clearance and forced the error that led to him scoring the second goal, I thought we were on to something. That was a moment he'll long be remembered for

In fact, let's have it again....

They were down to 10 men after half and hour, away from home, and won

Could Coventry be yet another team that come up and pass us by.

The only way Coventry will pass Nottingham by will be when they're ground-sharing with Mansfield or Chesterfield in the future.

Shithole city, joke of a club.

without the pressure of our toxic fanbase and our club history , walker should florish and thrive in a more positive environment.

A fanbase like ours should wear a warning. It's dangerous. They're appalling.

This is nonsense. Walker has had nothing but encouragement from the Forest fans despite his dismal performances for us.

I'm far from an academy fan boy but I dont think hes been dismal, hes just not ripped it up like what Burke did for example.

For the sake of his career he couldnt keep coming back and going out on loan anymore, hes 23 (i think) so not a young lad anymore. Bringing him back last year made absolutely no sense if he werent going to play, without Covid he should have stayed where he was.

Being that age he needed to either be integrated or sold for the benefit of all concerned.

That's happened so good luck to him, but like all former players he is now dead to me and I could never take any joy for him scoring for anybody else, that's bizarre imo.
