Effectively it's a bit longer than eight months, right? He won't be match fit at all at the end of January. Whether he should have been suspended earlier or not, I think it is a fitting punishment. I'm sure Southgate has been told, behind closed doors, not to select him. And he's 26 anyway. England shouldn't bother with him any longer.

The Toney offence is worse.

And I say that as a fully paid up member of the wokerati.

I think the extended period of the offences has contributed to length of ban, whereas Suarez was 1 incident (taken in isolation, which is what that particular ban was for, though we all know he is an odious little prick with form for being a ****).

It wasn't just half a dozen bets over a month. It may also be the case that he has bet on his own clubs matches which I think is info yet to be released.

Toney’s ban is not 8 months.
Season ends May 28th.
Next season starts mid August.
It is a 5.5,month ban.
The rest of the Prem should refuse to play Palace if Toney is in the match day 20.

I know he probably is knackered but I can't believe Brighton have dropped MacAllister, I think he is there best player by a country mile & could play for anybody.

Even in our game against them you couldn't get close to him because of how well he moves the ball.

Would expect him to move to a big club in the summer. Was so impressive in the World Cup, too.

I don't want to give them any ideas, but if Chelsea linked MacAllister with Enzo Fernandez under a good manager, and bought a good striker like Osimhen, they'll probably be top 4 next season.

Beat Wolves 6-0 and slap Arsenal 3-0 in their own back yard, and lost to us and get battered by Everton at home. Certainly an odd side to predict at the moment!
