Arsenal are doing some good business from Man City.

Signed Gabriel Jesus and now Zinchenko is coming in for £30m. You'd have to think Arteta would play him in midfield where he looks a class act.

Got rid of a lot of deadwood too. Big season for Arteta to try to win something for the first time in 3 years or so (won FA Cup first season but it's not gone well since)

Yeah they will be disappointed with no top 4 but you look at the competition and pressure could be on him now.

They will have to be better than Chelsea & Man Utd (may not seem difficult atm but they will get better) at the minimum.

I would say Spurs, Liverpool & Man City are nailed on for top 3 but I don’t think we will see a 90 point season like we have - both Man City & Liverpool have lost key players and not replaced in my opinion.

Don't suppose we'll be in Arsenal's position for many a year, but they must have started feeling a bit like us in our long 23 year exile.

They were so used to winning stuff, now they struggle to simulate a Prem winning side despite pouring money into transfer budgets.

Everton ought to be favourites to go down. Sold arguably their best player (Richarlison) and haven't bought in anyone to replace him.

Only preseason but Everton losing 4-0 to Minnesota at the moment. Score was three with a pretty full team.
It is only pre season but when you get freak results like that they do ring alarm bells.

If teams have poor seasons they are often accompanied by poor pre-seasons. I remember last pre-season we played really badly and lots of games got cancelled - look at the start we had.

Brentford signing Ben Mee from Burnley - 32 years old .... seems an odd one - he was part of the coaching arrangement as well when they got rid of Dyche... maybe that's part of the reason, transition into a coaching role with them longer term?

Meanwhile, elsewhere in the multiverse on planet Bonkers, Marcus Rashford is guest-editing The Beano, a phrase I never thought I’d write:

It is for a very good cause though, so good on him.

There's a lot of interesting stuff there.

Leicester are doomed next season and in for a shock this team.

Also, surely Sunderland didn't pay £10m for Jack Clarke?!

We didn't pay 17m for niakhaté either. They could be reporting max with add ons but I suspect they're just wrong.

Arsenal and leeds have done some business I think. City got good value on the outgoings and incomings.

Leicester's owners either have lots of confidence in their squad or very little confidence in Rogers.

Amongst the whole world and his dog leaving Arsenal I noted they received a fee for Jordan Osei Tutu. Scandalous.

Well, it turns out it was Rebekah Vardy‘s account, after all!

Newcastle bid for Maddison

Could be good to play them straight away as they haven’t spent that much yet, although they were still good last season.

And Leicester have immediately rejected the 40m bid!

You would think the Geordies will be back in for him though.
