You know people have a BBC victim complex when they get outraged at them reporting that going into the relegation zone might worry a club!

I think it was the absolute glee that the comment represented, moreso about Luton's 'heroism' that any disparaging sentiment towards Forest.

Like Chris Wilder said the other day, the media seems desperate for 'plucky Luton' to survive. It's a narrative that won't go away until the relegation spots are finalised.

Flew back into the country into Luton tonight. Got out of there shortly after the first Bournemouth goal went in.

Not sure if relevant but feels it.
I'll claim some credit for the result.

Sat on sofa with a glass of wine, saw Luton winning 3-0 but checked phone again later and it soon went to 3-3, 20 minutes to go.

Fell asleep on sofa for 2 hours. Woke up and wondered...they couldn't lose 4-3 from 3-0 up, could they? Could they?

YES THEY COULD!

Which is fair tbh, they are a massive underdog, they went from the Championship to National league and are the first team in modern football to go from National League to the Prem, even I want them to stay up as long as we stay up.

Also helps that I hate Brentford and want them to go down.

Woah, ive already taken the credit for the win 😂😂

I turned the game off at the 49th minute (they scored in the 50th) and went shopping as I was having a mardy, by the time I'd walked out it was 3-3, went to the gym rather than home to watch the match, got to the gym 4-3 😂😂

Saw that and have no wish to steal the glory, but the sheer insouciance of falling asleep at 3-3 as if the result didn't matter must count for something, shirley?

I'll be honest I'm all over the place this season I have no idea what to think last year I wasn't really panicked one bit I just knew we wernt going down this season f*** knows bit this is an absolutely massive chance to help ourselves on Saturday we really need to not f*** it up
It's because we don't know where we actually stand, ie points deduction.

Without that I wouldn't particularly be worried about relegation at all, but if we get -6 we're already 3 points adrift.

Luton are exactly the kind of bunch of ***** who will pick up more points per game towards the end of the season when other teams have nothing to play for, too.

I think the biggest 'narrative' would be if Luton survived at Everton's expense. Imagine the collective wanking from the media if that were to happen.

'Plucky Hatters avoid relegation, yet a big old historic Premier League club like Everton fall into the abyss.'
To the tossers at Sky and BBC Sport, football barely exists outside the PL.

I'd have two wanks if Everton went down at Luton's expense Cortez. 😁

From our experience last season and this, the media narrative is always to support the plucky underdog, but once you've had a season in the Premier League, the positive attention soon disappears onto the next season's story.

I'm like some others on here. The swings from safety to relegation seem to happen every week, some disaster or other followed by a rare and unexpected success plays havoc with my optimism. I try so hard to play down the trauma of a defeat when it would have been easier to win, but it's hard when we're getting closer and closer to the drop zone.

I do hope that, if we survive, it gets easier week after week, otherwise I'm sure we'll all be basket cases after a couple of seasons like this one.

Tinnitus can be extremely challenging at first but once you learn to adapt and tune the frequency in your mind, it does tend to improve.
