Individuals often struggle to look beyond their own political biases to recognise that the benefits of this situation far outweigh any potential negative publicity.

Ignore the PM was on the pitch just for 30 seconds and look at the incentive they have launched. Our kids will benefit from this, the extra publicity from today will actually probably help too.

Ken Clarke (one of the biggest Tory personalities of the past 30 years) sits in the directors box most home games. Why then, is his presence not met with outcry?

Sometimes, it's good to be politically homeless, sit back and watch both sides rip each other to bits. In my experience though, those on the extreme left often embody some of the most toxic individuals I've ever encountered.

Sadly it’s the way people act in life. They’re the same people that shout their positions, trade insults on twitter. Lefty scum, Tory scum. Nobody has the ability to rationalise. lol today I’ve learnt sunnak for instance is right wing! lol people have no idea what right wing is, simply entrench themselves in total bollox and dig deeper

I was one of a few apprentices asked to put a training session on for local schools on the City Ground for a visit of Prince Philip in 1999.

He wandered around to my pitch to watch a group from a Clifton school to which he nudged me and said "there's rather a lot of these blackies isn't there"

Kin hell Phil, what the f*** do I say to that as an 18 year old?

Did he pop next door to the boat club and promise to stop them?
Well, let‘s face it, Forest have had about as much success stopping the Boats as Sunak has.

The slimy weasel-faced twat.

Ken Clarke cut the ribbon to open the new Trent End before a match in the 90's, he was roundly booed from all sides of the City Ground

Did Sunak take a taxpayer funded helicopter to the City Ground?

That’s what I want to know.

Regardless of where you consider Rishi on the political spectrum, he’s certainly an out-of-touch rich boy, who has proven himself a total non-entity as a prime minister…but…the club having him onside, if only for a photo op might actually have some worth in generating leverage for issues with obstinate local councils…just saying,
Someone gets it.

I’m not a Tory lover, I think sunak is a dick who goes down in my estimation on a daily basis. But I’m not particularly arsed one way or the other if he visits Forest.

But I find it funny people are taking the piss out of the visit. Just as I’d find it funny if mr tumble visited and people were making jokes about it.

under currents are very powerful. Thankfully society no longer puts up with it, in my company any hint of it results in an instant dismissal. We’ve moved a long way since the 70s 80s

I don't think that Sunak and Marinakis will be comfortable bedfellows. Their respective takes on refugees and asylum seekers, their respective track records, set them miles apart. Of course they are both incredibly wealthy, they probably share a view on tax policy, and I've no doubt that the well chosen words about helping people to access health giving sports activities were well meant. However ....

For Sunak to seize the opportunity to dismiss Nottm City Council for financial mismanagment;
For that to happen at the home of a football club recently found guilty of financial mismanagement;
For Tom Cartledge to allude to the County Council as a 'potential saviour'; all that tells me is .....

The situation re the new lease with the City Council (Commissioners) is not getting any better, and

We are closer to Toton than we were before! This is clearly more than mere political pressure to get the lease sorted, this is much bigger than that.

A pre-election announcement from Sunak about using unspent HS2 £ to improve the tram to Toton, to create a passenger rail link from Toton to Nottm Midland via Long Eaton (reinstatement in effect); extra funds to develop the area .... I could go on, but I smell of big rodent.

Personally a new stadium at Toton is almost on my doorstep. The development funds for transport and other infrastructure would benefit my employers and me enormously (big time). Marinakis would probably get a good handout from the Government to build a new stadium ('levelling up'). Forest would no doubt attract lots of new 'tourist' fans. The area would be redeveloped and economic benefit would undoubtedly follow. Forest would get a bigger share of the 'pie, chips and a pint' spend than they do at the WFCG. National and international events (not just football) might be attracted to Toton. Ben 'three jobs' Bradley would be happy (but hopefully not elected again).

Do I want this to happen? No I do not. Is it closer than it was yesterday? Possibly it is.

If Marinakis attempts to take the club to Toton (I don‘t think he will) I’m fairly certain it would
be the end of his reign at Forest.
The supporters simply wouldn’t stand for it.
