I think that the number of people who couldn't get wembley tickets and the thousands who won't be going to matches this season due to lack of tickets suggests a move to a new 50,000 seater state of the art stadium is not a bad idea. Everton are leaving the iconic Goodison Park, West Ham left Upton Park and with success they fill the London Stadium. OK it will be difficult but the crowd create the atmosphere and the advantages eg parking, revenue, facilities need to be put against the disadvantages of a ground built in a residential area.
I'm sure if Marinakis could steal a 300 million pound stadium AND get the British public to cough up for weekly policing and stewarding costs he'd do the same.

That West Ham deal was, is and always will be a f**king disgrace.

I think the Stadium will become a massive issue. Especially if we stay up.

Football has never been as popular, and it feels like it has never been as popular in this city either. We probably would have sold 40,000 for every match in the last couple of months of the season. In the Prem I think we could genuinely attract 45-50k. Might be a stretch, but we are selling tickets so easily nowadays.

And with contruction costs going through the roof there is no easy option, even building a brand new stadium might be out the question. If our growth continues at the rate it's gone this last 6 months then the best option would be to knock it down and build another like Spurs did.

But lets see. A lot can happen. It's not just ticket sales it's revenues.

My apologies if this has previously been mentioned...

Will there be a larger allocation for away fans at the City Ground now we're in the Prem?

All our stars aligned season just gone… the cherry on the top would’ve been the Main Stand being done during lockdown. Unfortunately for me, last season was the first I hadn’t renewed by season ticket in years and it’s going to be almost impossible to get one for a while. The muppets at the planning office need to pull their finger out…

What's the current away supporter capacity?

I've not heard any mention of disruption on LB season card renewals so not moving the segregation partition over.

Apparently there is provision in the PL rules for a club offering a lower allocation than standard (3000 or 10% of capacity, whichever is SMALLER) if they can cite safety reasons for wanting a smaller away contingent.
Not sure if that'd fly if NFFC tried it but who knows.
The only way to get 3000 away fans in is to move some existing ST holders, either from LB Lower or BC lower.
Should have stuck 'em in the Main Stand a couple of years ago when opportunity presented itself but that ship has sailed now.

Maybe the club could ask Ballmouth for advice; they managed to get an entire match called off at short notice after someone broke wind in their stadium car-park?

We've been hoping for promotion for so long, but I had not really thought through the consequences of that promotion.

It's massive! And has presented the club and fans with a conundrum of huge proportions.

For the fans it's all about following and seeing the team. For the club it's all about what to do now about the ground, build here or build there (wherever 'there' may be) being the major problem, but there are so many stemming from this; how to fit a quart into a pint bottle.

At 9am on Thursday 16th June the provisional fixtures for the 2022-23 Premier League are set to be released.

We appreciate that the club’s promotion to the Premier League is creating an increased demand for tickets and that it is a subject that’s incredibly close to the hearts of our supporters.

In the 18 days since promotion was clinched, with victory over Huddersfield Town in the Sky Bet Championship play-off final at Wembley Stadium, our Ticket Office team have been working hard to create the following update for our supporters about the 2022-23 season.

SEASON CARDS

Further to our discussions with the Premier League, the club can now confirm that no further season cards will be sold for the 2022-23 Premier League campaign.

This is partly due to the increased capacity required for away supporters (from 2,000 to 3,000) as per Premier League regulations. Additionally, the club wants to minimise the future disruption caused to Season Card holders during the expected redevelopment of the Peter Taylor Stand, which will create a temporary reduction in capacity of the City Ground whilst works take place.

We understand that some supporters may be disappointed at not being able to secure a season card, but further details on our Membership packages will be released shortly.

BRIDGFORD LOWER STAND SEASON CARD HOLDERS

The Ticket Office team have been doing their utmost to minimise the disruption caused by the increase in the away supporter allocation to our own fans. However, unfortunately there is a need to relocate some Bridgford Lower Stand season card holders to alternative areas of the stadium.

We apologise in advance for the inconvenience caused by the relocations and any supporters who are impacted by this process will be contacted directly by the Ticket Office team in the coming days to discuss their options ahead of the 2022-23 Premier League campaign.

HOME TICKET AVAILABILITY

Ticket information for individual fixtures at the City Ground in the 2022-23 season will be confirmed in July once the first the first batch of live televised fixtures has been agreed with the Premier League broadcast partners.

HOME & AWAY MEMBERSHIP

The club is currently finalising details on the new Home and Away membership packages, which will provide supporters with improved access to tickets for home and away fixtures in the upcoming season.

Please note that the Home membership package will feature new levels of ticket priority. Supporters who purchased NFFC Membership during the 2021-22 season will be given first option on our new home membership options.

We also recognise that there are many Away Members who regularly travel on the road with The Reds. All existing Away Members will be contacted directly to detail their renewal options whilst new Away Membership options will be available to season card holders.

SEASONAL CAR PARK PERMIT

The club is continuing to engage with the Premier League to understand the impact that the increased television broadcast requirements have upon our on-site car parking provision. We hope to provide supporters with more information on this in the next two weeks.

Yeah, apparently though it’s not worth doing anything to the ground until we get promoted. I wonder how many that were repeating that won’t get a ticket now?

I couldn’t even get a ticket for the final but people like Alan Anti-Forest Hardy and my Man United supporting work colleague managed to.

I’ll see you all when we are away at Rotherham again on a Tuesday night 🤣👍🏼

Haha, hopefully we won’t see that shithole again for many decades but you know what I’m getting at.
Remember Barry complaining about day trippers and plastics a few years ago, it will be way worse now and fans that have been going for decades will struggle to get a ticket.

It is what it is though.

Dilema for the club now. Priority is to get a season of stability in prem. Future revenues would have taken priority if we'd have been in the champ. TV money now fills that ticket revenue gap.

But Forest really do need to think big off the pitch, use the time to revist a plan B. Iconic location we'll be staying it seems...but there's surely an opportunity to rebuild everything except the Trent End.

It’s not worth rebuilding other parts of the ground until we have qualified for the Champions League 🤪
