The Premier League 11 point watch 2022-2023 edition

Derby only dropped 10 points from winning positions ALL season, we have already dropped 9.

I am not saying that's a good thing but they never even competed at this level.

Exactly

It looks like a bad stat, but that we were ahead in those games but didn't hold out, points away from the fact we were in that position to begin with.

I think Bournemouth was a perfect example of a shit storm where everything which could have gone wrong at the back 2nd half did, most times that 2-0 lead would have been held onto. Fulham we just collapsed after conceding and had about 10 mins where we weren't with it all game. If we'd at least drawn one of those, things might feel different.

But we were also up against Villa and Everton and drew those.

Would we have drawn or lost today if we'd scored? I don't think so.

Yep mate.

People can be all doom and gloom but it really doesn't take many games to climb this league and we are competing, even if you get post-WC, you will climb into mid-table with a good month.

We just got to stay in touching distance which we are.

No one will ever break that record. Even if we don't win another game this season we'll cobble together enough draws together to pass the 11 point mark.

There are League One sides that would have made a better go of it than Derby did that year.

It'll be broken at some point. It might take a hundred years plus but at some point it'll be broken.

The sun in its final moments will envelope the earth before the Derby points record is broken.

The only way it will be broken nowadays if a club gets a point deduction

That Derby side wouldn't get out of League One in the modern game. Just like the current one.

It's almost certain that at some point a team will attain fewer than eleven points, it's just a matter of time.

I remember people saying no-one would ever beat Sunderland's fifteen point record.

I don't think points deductions should count really. Derby got 11 points without points deduction and if a team got 26 with a 15 deduction ending on 11 they still managed to get 26 points with their results.

So we're not in November yet.

All the PL has 12 points except us, Wolves and Leicester. The lowest is us on 9, with most of the season to play.

Will everyone be over this before the world cup?

No club will ever do so badly again - it isn't a matter of time at all. As Tom Jones, said; till the moon deserts the sky, till all the seas run dry, till the tropic sun grows cold, till this young world grows old, till the rivers flow upstream, till lovers cease to dream . . . . that is theirs forever.

Theirs. Derby *****'s. Forever.

That vile, tiny, scummy, irrelevant, dirty, cheating, foul, 3rd division club, supported by the ugliest, most cretinous, duplicitous, stupid, deceitful, sheep shagging bunch of supporters known to man own that. And they use it each season as a badge of hope, that somebody may turn out to be worse than them. That's it, that's all they have; what they live for. Pathetic!

And thick as f***ing mince.
